Developer Intern

Job Description:

As an Odoo Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing Odoo ERP solutions for our clients. You will work on both default Odoo modules and custom Odoo module development, ensuring that our clients' business processes are efficiently supported by the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and clients to gather and understand requirements.
• Customize and configure Odoo ERP modules based on client needs.
• Develop and maintain custom Odoo modules to extend ERP functionality.
• Utilize Python for Odoo development, ensuring high-quality code.
• Create and optimize web-based user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery).
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services for integration purposes.
• Implement APIs in Odoo to connect with third-party applications.
• Test and debug Odoo modules to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Odoo implementations.
• Keep abreast of Odoo updates and trends to suggest improvements and optimizations.
• Collaborate with the development team to enhance overall system performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Odoo Developer.
• Proficiency in Python for Odoo development.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo's default modules and features.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript for web development.
• Familiarity with web services, including RESTful and SOAP.
• Previous experience in API implementation within Odoo.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adept at time management and meeting project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Odoo certification is a plus.
• Experience with other programming languages or frameworks.

Roles & Responsibilities –

• 3-6 years of experience in deploying and managing highly scalable fault resilient systems
• Strong experience in container orchestration and server automation tools such as Kubernetes, Google Container Engine, Docker Swarm, Ansible, Terraform  

• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure

• Strong experience with databases such as  MySQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, and MongoDB.

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.

• Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis.
• Proficient in technologies such as Docker, Kafka, Raft and Vagrant

• Experience in implementing queueing services such as RabbitMQ, Beanstalkd, Amazon SQS and knowledge in ElasticStack is a plus.

• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Ensure limited system failure and increase up-time and availability of the various company apps.
• Understand the current application infrastructure and strive for making it better.
• Automate infrastructure and develop tools and processes to improve the customer experience and reduce support time.
• Work closely with a team of developers and solution strategists to develop, deploy and troubleshoot the deployment and infrastructure issues.
• Manage full application stacks from the OS through custom applications using Amazon cloud-based computing environments.
• Set up a monitoring stack.
• Implement the application’s CI/CD pipeline using the AWS stack. Increasingly automate and improve the testing plans and development workflows and tools.
• Work closely with the engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environments that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements.
• Manage a continuous integration/continuous deployment methodology for the server-based technologies.
• Proficient in leveraging CI and CD tools to automate testing and deployment. Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment.

• First point of contact for handling customer issues, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and reduce customer incidents.
• Learn on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
• In addition to providing customer support, will be responsible for helping build tools and processes necessary for excellent customer outcomes.

Skills:

• Proficient with Git and Git workflows and hosted enterprise Git solutions like GitHub.
• Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Experience with. AWS EKS Kubernetes infrastructure setup.
• Experience creating Cloud Formation Template to create Auto Scaling Groups, Route 53, DNS, back-end database, Elastic load balancer, VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Cloud Watch, S3, IAM roles, RDS DB instances, and to provide those instances and configure those resources to work together reducing the manual effort.
• Experience in deploying and monitoring microservices on Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS
• Security aware and ensures that all systems are security standards-compliant.
• Good background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with building or maintaining cloud-native applications.
• Minimum 3-5 years of cloud development experience, preferably AWS
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins preferred.
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline

Must-Have’s:

• Hands-on DevOps (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Python/Ruby)  

Job Description:
