Test Automation Engineer 

Job Description

We build Enterprise-Scale AI/ML-powered products for Manufacturing, Sustainability and Supply Chain. We are looking for a quality assurance engineer to help us maintain our level of quality and reliability. By joining our team, you will take part in various projects, assessing software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of software quality through exploratory and automated tests. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with. There are no shortcuts to achieving greatness: It is a lot of work. But once you are at the top, you will enjoy the view. 

•      Conducts computer system validations through automation and owns its compliance.

•      Key activities require collaborating with teams and working with product team to ensure our product meet the business requirements. 

Requirements & Skills

•      Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA or equivalent practical experience

•      3+ years of experience in functional automation testing and test management with full development lifecycle experience, including designing, developing, and implementing test strategy, test plans, test processes, test scenarios, test cases

•      Experience in software quality testing of web client/server and web services applications using automation test tools

•      Working experience of testing tools like selenium, rest assured, cucumber, cypress, penetration test tools 

•      Experience in System Integration testing, Regression testing, Performance testing, Load testing, Penetration Testing and User acceptance testing

•      Experience in implementing different automation development efforts in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall development environments

•      Experience in creating Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Scenarios and Test Reports using High Level and Detailed Design and/or using the requirement and its acceptance criteria.

•      Experience in creating requirement traceability matrix (RTM), and software quality assurance metrics like test execution status, defect report and daily/weekly status reports and release documents

•      Possessing good understanding of risk management, security architecture, common design flaws/weaknesses and vulnerability analysis

•      Provide Information security solution and design advice and counsel to portfolio personnel, project teams and the Business ensuring proper balance of business needs, risk, and cost • Knowledge of working in DevSecOps environment

•      Understanding of java, java script, python, SQL, xml, html, soap, rest, json

•      Understanding of identity and access management technologies, saml, oauth, pki management, web sso, tsl, ssl, federated identity

•      Understanding of cloud platform like azure, AWS (amazon web services)

•      Has done test management and automation in jira

•      Specialties include SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) process, System architecture, Access Management, Configuration management, Security assessment, Vulnerability management, Change Management, Incident Management, Business continuity planning and Disaster recovery planning

Talented C++ Developer who has experience in design, development, debugging of multi-threaded large scale application with good understanding in data structures on Linux packaging, functional testing and deployment automation very good with problem solving.

Key responsibilities :

1. Understand fundamental design principles and best practices for developing backend servers and web applications
2. Gather requirements, scope functionality, estimate and translate those requirements into solutions
3. Implement and integrate software features as per requirements
4. Deliver across the entire app life cycle
5. Work in a product creation project and/or technology project with implementation or integration responsibilities
6. Improve an existing code base, if required, and ability to read source code to understand data flow and origin
7. Design effective data storage for the task at hand and know how to optimize query performance along the way
8. Follow an agile methodology of development and delivery
9. Strictly adhere to coding standards and internal practices; must be able to conduct review code
10. Mentor and possibly lead junior developers
11. Contribute towards innovation

Must have / Good to have:

1. 5-7years' experience with C++ development and relevant 3+yrs in modern version 11/14/17 would be a plus. 
2. Design and implementation of high-availability, and performance applications on Linux environment
3. Advanced knowledge of C/C++, Object Oriented Design, STL
4. Good with multithreading and data structures
5. Develop back-end components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
6. Familiarity with database design, integration with applications and python packaging.
7. Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5), REST API, security considerations
8. Familiarity with functional testing and deployment automation frameworks
9. Experience in development for 3-4 production ready application using C++ as programming language
10. Experience in writing unit test cases including positive and negative test cases
11. Experience of CI/CD pipeline code deployment (Git, SVN, Jenkins or Teamcity)
12. Experience with Agile and DevOps methodology
13. Very good problem-solving skills
14. Experience with Web technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Implementation of Manufacturing, Costing, Planning Central, Demand Management, Sales and Operation Planning in Oracle ERP.

Drive requirement gathering, Fit-Gap, Solution Design, Build, CRP, SIT, UAT, Cutover/Go-Live and postproduction support for above applications.

Perform configuration/Application setups.

capturing solution design, configuration, documentation, and post-production support.

Responsible for roll out of all Oracle modules for new State operations.

Training the new users and preparation of user manuals

Develop, design, and implement embedded applications.

· Prepares appropriate documentation as required by internal product development processes

· Conducts and participates in design, code and test reviews and inspections, as well as the feasibility, efficacy and compliance to functional and regulatory standards.

· Works closely with the software team, the software verification team, the functional manager and the project manager.

Skill Sets:

• B.Tech. / M.Tech. (any stream)

· Good knowledge in firmware development field with more than 3 years of experience

· Basic knowledge of software life cycle, algorithm and data structure.

· Excellent knowledge of OS, coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems

· Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.

· Ability to understand the electrical schematics and work closely with electrical team.

· Experience with Real Time Operating Systems and Embedded Linux.

· Mode of network connectivity - good idea about GSM/GPRS, Wifi, Ethernet mode of connections. TCP, MQTT, HTTP mode of connection will be a big plus

· Protocols Like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, MODBUS, TCP/IP, USB, Bluetooth.

· Experience in modules like Wi-Fi, BLE, Lora WAN, ZIGBEE, RF etc.

· Should have experience in working with TFT and LED displays.

· Extensive experience in micro-controller/microprocessor (like ARM Cortex M, ESP32, STM Chips, NXP, BeagleBone , ESP chips, BeagleBone black, STM Chips, Atmega chips etc.)

· Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review (GIT, SVN)

· History of driving project execution and timely delivery while ensuring a quality focus.

· Experience writing / interfacing with device drivers.
