Backend Fast API Engineer

Key Responsibilities

🖥️ Frontend (Angular)

• Develop responsive, accessible web UI for assessment tools, educator dashboards, and parent reports.
• Implement dynamic form builders and scoring interfaces for multiple domains (reading, writing, math).
• Build PDF report previews, filtering tools, and real-time updates.

🔙 Backend (Python/FastAPI)

• Design and implement APIs for user management, assessments, intervention logs, and reports.
• Integrate scoring logic and data aggregation for AI insights.
• Implement secure role-based access (admin, educator, parent).

🛠️ DevOps / Systems

• Maintain scalable architecture with PostgreSQL / MongoDB, Docker, and deployment pipelines.
• Work with AI engineer to connect ML models to backend for prediction and recommendation layers.
• Optimize performance and ensure data security (GDPR-aligned).

Requirements:

• Hands-on working knowledge and experience is required in:
• Extensive experience working on C#, . net and. net core frameworks
• Extensive experience working on React, Javascript and Typescript
• Relational Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc. )
• NoSQL Databases (Mongo, Cloud Spanner, etc. )
• Agile Methodologies (Scrum, TDD, BDD, etc. )
• Experience working with distributed teams across regions and time zones
• Strong organisational skills
• Display detailed, critical, quality-oriented, skeptical thinking about the product
• Experience with several of the following tools/technologies is desirable: GIT, Jira, Jenkins, SharePoint, Visual Studio Code.
• Microservices Architecture, Domain Driver Design, Test Driven Development is a bonus
• Design Patterns and implementing the Design Patterns
• Development of Complex Application and System Architectures
• Data Structures and Algorithms using Typescript, C# and. NET
• Experience working in Google Cloud will be a big bonus as all our systems are in the Cloud 7
• Knowledge of REST and gRPC API's is a bonus
• Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus:
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools like GitHub, Git, etc.
• Containerisation Technologies (Docker)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and creating Deluge code, Functions, Workflows, etc. Mainly you'll be working on creating custom applications on Zoho Creator along with external tools integrations (within and outside Zoho Ecosystem).

Responsibility

• Implementation and customization of business applications on Zoho One including Creator, Forms, CRM, desk, BOOKS, Analytics, and others as needed.
• Deployment of new functionalities such as custom layouts, fields, calculated fields, and related fields.
• Design and build customer-facing CRM portals with reports and dashboards as needed.
• Data migration to and from different systems into Zoho Creator or other platforms.
• Creation of custom tools and scripts to automate various business processes.
• Create a roadmap for development and prepare iterations for approval and tracking.
• Own the entire development life cycle from concept to production as well as support
• Maintain proper code documentation and use best practices.
• Create faqs and How-to-videos before project handover.

Skills & Experience

• Basic understanding of programming. It means if you are given a code snippet you should know what will be the output. Basic understanding of PHP, Deluge, and Javascript.
• Great manipulating skill for strings, and arrays as most of the programs will be a string and array manipulation.
• Hands-on programming skills.
• Problem-solving skills as you are required to solve a real-world problem.
• Strong logical reasoning and Business understanding.

Causality Biomodels is an Indo-German life science informatics company that focuses on the development of data-based solutions in the bioinformatics sector. Specifically, we work using semantic integration & information extraction methods, knowledge & data organization, and advanced statistical & machine learning techniques in the context of life sciences.

The team Causality Biomodels is searching for a full stack developer with a strong focus on Python, capable of taking on a lead developer role.

You will be mainly focusing on the following areas:

• Implementing new features by modifying our backend system and UI according to the product backlog and discussions with the team.
• Rapid prototyping to explore new directions based on current research developments.
• Design, development and maintenance of APIs, as well as product and add-on components.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organization.

The requirements are:

• Successfully completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or in related fields such as Bioinformatics.
• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• High proficiency in Python and ability to write clean and well-documented code (must).
• Experience with cloud-based development using AWS (preferred), GCP or Azure.
• Experience with Docker and container-based deployment.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one database system (SQL or no-SQL).
• High familiarity with Git.
• Experience with agile development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Very strong English skills (both verbal and written).
