Lead Mobile Engineer - Android & iOS, AI-Native Healthcare Apps

Role Overview

Lead design, development, and delivery of mobile apps across Android and iOS. Own architecture, quality, and mobile engineering practice. Integrate Voice AI, conversational AI, and real-time features into patient-facing healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Architecture & Delivery

•    Lead architecture and development of native or cross-platform mobile apps (Android & iOS)

•    Set technical direction, coding standards, and best practices for mobile

•    Deliver performant, polished, accessible mobile experiences at scale

•    Own app release process: app store submissions, versioning, mobile CI/CD

AI & Real-Time Integration

•    Integrate Voice AI, conversational AI, and LLM-powered features into mobile

•    Build real-time patient engagement experiences (streaming, push, WebSockets)

•    Collaborate with backend, product, and design on cohesive AI experiences

Quality & SDLC

•    Monitor app performance, crashes, and user feedback; drive continuous improvement

•    Champion mobile SDLC practices: testing, CI/CD, code review, release management

•    Leverage AI coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code) to increase velocity

Leadership & Mentorship

•    Mentor and guide mobile engineers; conduct technical reviews

•    Own mobile engineering standards and drive architectural decisions

Requirements

•    5–7 years mobile development (Android & iOS)

•    Strong native expertise: Kotlin/Java (Android) and/or Swift (iOS)

•    OR cross-platform expertise: React Native or Flutter

•    Proven mobile architecture and technical decision leadership

•    Deep mobile performance, offline support, and security knowledge

•    Full app release lifecycle and store guidelines experience

•    Track record mentoring engineers and leading delivery

•    API integration and mobile-backend communication expertise

•    Strong ownership mindset and AI-first working style

Nice-to-Have

•    AI/LLM or conversational AI features in mobile apps

•    Video stack experience: streaming, recording, real-time communication (WebRTC)

•    Real-time/streaming and push notification systems at scale

•    Mobile open-source contributions or published apps at scale

•    Healthcare technology or health-tech startup experience

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in developing test frameworks and automation for Android-based infotainment systems.
• Minimum 2+ years of C++ development experience with exposure to Android’s HAL.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
• 1+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong understanding of Android Automotive System and Android Framework.
• In-depth knowledge of different Android components, including Services, Activities, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and RTOS concepts.
• Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Mentoring skills to support and guide less experienced team members.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and clients.

Responsibilities :

⦁ Develop our mobile app using Google's Flutter development framework with modular approach and clean code.

⦁ Write efficient Dart code.

⦁ Integrate API.

⦁ Brainstorm the ideas about new features with the team.

⦁ Closely work with the team to bring out cutting edge mobile experience.

⦁ Maintain source code using Git.

⦁ Focus on understanding customers' requirements and translating those needs from product specifications into functional, production-ready code.

Requirements :

⦁ Deep knowledge and Experience in Flutter and Dart (At Least an year).

⦁ Experience building and deploying a moderately complex Flutter app.

⦁ Knowledge of State Management Patterns(Bloc or Provider).

⦁ Familiarity with Design systems.

⦁ Familiarity with RESTful APIs.

⦁ Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms.

⦁ Strong understanding of Dart, its quirks, and workarounds.

⦁ Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and partial page updates.

⦁ Knowledge of advanced Flutter Concepts like factory constructor, spread operators.

⦁ Proficient understanding of cross-platform compatibility.

⦁ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.

⦁ Good understanding of UI rendering behavior and performance.

⦁ Experience in creating animations in Flutter.

⦁ Knowledge of Location Services, Maps, and other common Android/IOS libraries.

Good to have:

⦁ Experience of programming in Android and iOS is a big plus.

⦁ Experience in publishing Flutter apps on the Play Store and Apple App Store is a plus.

⦁ Data Modelling and Knowledge of Domain Driven Design is good to have.

Experience with web services , SQL Lite , camera kit , image caching concepts, keychain , past experience working with one of the design patterns like MVC / MVVM / MVP , network check implementation.

Good to have:  Rx-Swift experience , video / image filter experience , media player usage , complex UX effects , couch-db , RealM.Knowledge of GIT management , Continuous Integration and Continuous Development practices.
