Junior PHP/Laravel Developer – Education ERP

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior PHP/Laravel Developer who has a good understanding of PHP, Laravel, MySQL/database management, and preferably experience working on EdTech, Education ERP, LMS, School/College Management Systems, or similar applications.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with existing applications, understanding database structures, developing new features, fixing bugs, and supporting the development of Education ERP modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Work with MySQL and relational databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Understand existing database structures, tables, relationships, and data flow.
• Develop and maintain modules/features for Education ERP and EdTech applications.
• Fix bugs and troubleshoot application issues.
• Create and modify APIs as required.
• Perform database operations such as CRUD, joins, aggregation, filtering, and data manipulation.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services when required.
• Test developed features and ensure they work as expected.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Coordinate with senior developers and other teams to understand requirements and deliver assigned tasks on time.
• Maintain technical documentation for developed features where required.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Core PHP.
• Working knowledge of Laravel Framework.
• Good understanding of MySQL / SQL.
• Understanding of database design, relationships, joins, and queries.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Understanding of REST APIs and API integration.
• Basic knowledge of Git/version control.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand an existing codebase and database.

• Build and scale backend services using Node.js & Express

Mandatory Skills

Desired Skills set:

• Create systems with .NET framework 4.x / ASP.NET MVC / SQL Server 2008-2016 / WCF / Web Services / WebAPI based on the design specification.
• Ability to create and optimize SQL Server 2008-2016 stored procedures.
• Experience with JQuery or similar technologies.
• Knowledge on .Net Core is an added advantage.

Description:

• Understanding on performing analysis and design, and develop the small/large-scale systems.
• Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product.
• Tests the written programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate.
• Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level.
• Strong grasp of OO principles
• 1+ years of development experience in OO languages such as C# and MVC architecture.

1) Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer
