Our growing economy with a massive skill deficit provides a real opportunity for them to escape the cycle of poverty, through gainful employment but imparting livelihood training is proving to be insufficient.

Azim Premji Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that has been working for more than a decade now towards making deep, large scale and institutionalized impact on the quality and equity of education in India, along with related development areas. Any large scale educational change requires significant and sustained effort over many decades and can only be achieved through working at multiple levels as well as on several areas simultaneously. Today, the Foundation employs more 1000 people and has field institutes in 40+ districts across 6 states and 1 union territory(Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry) reaching more than 3,50,000 schools across the country. Founded in 2007, Anudip Foundation is a professionally managed Section 8 not profit Indian Company, registered under Companies Act, 2013. As one of the partner organizations of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Anudip single-mindedly concentrates on creating digital livelihoods at scale for youth from India’s disadvantaged communities. Using innovative technologies, the company offers best-of-class skilling with professional diploma and certificate courseware at its training centers in urban, peri-urban, and remote rural locations of the country. Anudip’s successful placement record stems from its curriculum being customized to actual needs of employers from multiple sectors such as retail, micro-finance, IT, digital services, control and automation and others. So far, Anudip has trained more than 75,000 students spread across about 150 training centres in 10 major states of India: West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, Delhi/NCR, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

Youth 4 Jobs Foundation is an action organisation with a heart working to ensure youth with disabilities can be poverty-free in India. Our focus is on building resilient livelihoods for both youth with disabilities, with a focus on the most vulnerable, women with disabilities. Towards this, we partner with governments, markets, and civil society to remove physical and attitudinal barriers and enable the scaling of evidence-based effective solutions. It is led by Meera Shenoy who has the unique experience of working in senior government positions, World Bank and UNDP. This transformational work has won several national and international awards.

NIIT Foundation (NF) is a not-for-profit education society that aims to provide inclusive development in India by reaching the unreached, uncared and unattended through various educational interventions. It focuses on upgrading the skill base and employability of marginalized youth in urban slums and rural areas. NIIT Foundation was established in 2004 by the promoters of NIIT. It has a mandate to positively impact the underserved of the country through sustainable training intervention models. NF aims to better understand the education and employability issues at the grassroots level. NIIT Foundation operates in the education and training industry, specifically in the area of skill development and employability. It provides critical interventions towards upgrading the skill base and employability of marginalized youth in urban slums and rural areas.
