Professor of Pathology – PathIQ Classroom
Path-iQ is looking for an experienced Pathology Professor to help build a high-quality digital learning platform for pathology students, residents, and educators.
Role purpose
Support the development of PathIQ Classroom by translating real academic pathology teaching needs into practical digital learning experiences using whole-slide images, assignments, quizzes, case discussions, and AI-assisted learning tools.
Key responsibilities
- Develop curriculum-aligned pathology learning modules across subspecialties.
- Create and review case-based assignments using whole-slide images.
- Design quizzes, viva questions, reporting exercises, and clinical case discussions.
- Define learning objectives, marking rubrics, expected answers, and faculty feedback formats.
- Review the usability and academic relevance of PathIQ Classroom features.
- Advise on how professors, residents, and students should use the platform in real teaching workflows.
- Help create a repository of teaching slides, case histories, annotations, and assessment content.
- Validate AI-generated educational content for accuracy, relevance, and safe academic use.
- Participate in webinars, demonstrations, faculty onboarding, and academic partnership discussions where needed.
- Provide feedback to the product team on features such as live annotation, student performance analytics, assignments, and virtual microscopy workflows.
Required profile
- MD/DNB Pathology or equivalent qualification.
- Experience teaching undergraduate medical students, postgraduate residents, or fellows.
- Strong understanding of practical pathology teaching, slide sessions, exams, and resident assessment.
- Interest in digital pathology, whole-slide imaging, and medical education technology.
- Able to create clear academic content and review pathology cases accurately.
- Comfortable working remotely with a product, design, and technology team.
Preferred
- Experience using digital pathology or virtual microscopy platforms.
- Subspecialty expertise in histopathology, hematopathology, cytopathology, molecular pathology, or dermatopathology.
- Experience in curriculum design, assessment creation, research, or academic administration.
- Interest in AI-assisted pathology education.
Engagement
Part-time, flexible academic collaboration. The role can be structured as an Academic Advisor, Faculty Content Lead, or Founding Academic Partner depending on experience and level of involvement.
