Role Overview:

As a Tech Lead/Principal SDE, you'll be leading the engineering team for the 0->1 journey of an upcoming product in our platform. You will be the owner of the product and would requires a unique balance between hands-on development, architecture knowledge and production support.

Responsibilities and tasks:

 

  • Manage a team (comprising of Software Engineers, Sr. Software Engineers, QA Engineers), including providing technical direction, task allocation, and code reviews.
  • Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Owns overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
  • Contribute technically to projects.
  • Work closely with the Product Management team to ensure we're building the best products which deliver value to our clients.
  • Set up best practices for development, champion their adoption
  • Work closely with team to estimate and plan projects in an Agile environment
  • Managing customer issues and escalations and tracking the Customer SLAs closely

What You Need to Succeed at BlueOptima: 

 

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 10- 12 years in the software industry and 3-5 years of experience managing customer facing software development teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software product development experience, and hands on technical work with full life cycle implementations.
  • Experience in Web application development / Hosted solutions
  • Comfortable guiding teams in an Agile environment
  • Should have worked in cross functional teams (product management, development, QA, sales, customers), should be able understand team dynamics and priorities of each functional stakeholder and work with them to meet project goals
