We’re looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in GCP, Spark-Scala, Python, and .NET.

📍 Location: Suncity, Sector 54, Gurugram (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in distributed computing (Spark) and software development.
• 3+ years of experience in Spark-Scala
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Python.
• Fluency in working with databases (preferably Postgres).
• Have a sound understanding of object-oriented programming and development principles.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum or Kanban development environment.
• Experience working with version control software (preferably Git).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing, including integration/delta, Load, and Performance

Role Responsibilities:

● Analyze business requirements

● Develop and customize Odoo modules

●

Integrate Odoo with 3rd Party systems

● Troubleshooting

● Share ideas on how to continuously improve the system and way of working

Requirements:

The desired candidate should have below skills:

● Working knowledge of Python with the Odoo-framework (minimum 3 years experience)

● Should be familiar with the latest versions of Odoo.

● Have experience with Object Oriented programming.

● Have knowledge of PostgreSQL.

● Should have experience with Python unit testing.

● Have experience with setup of interfaces between different systems using API’s.

● Should be familiar with Agile and Scrum methodology.

● Have experience with collaboration tools like Git, Buildout, Jira, Confluence, etc

● Have experience with Linux (Ubuntu)

• Degree in Computer Science (BS/MS), related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of industry experience in product development
• Experience in coaching and mentoring team members
• Must own a specific component of the product. Gathering requirements by working with product management. Working closely with development managers in defining external product interfaces
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must articulate various design approaches and design decisions clearly - within the team and across the teams.
• Must work with QA engineers to devise proper test constructs - unit testing and integration tests.

Our team is looking for experienced backend engineers to lead the development of our cloud-based software products and be responsible for major technical decisions associated with them and accountable for their successful execution.

In this position on the software engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to client and internal facing products. FarmSetu’s suite of products spans multiple technical domains and disciplines in software and hardware, and experience in end-to-end systems thinking across distributed components is key for this role.

• Design, implement and deploy back-end services
• Lead the delivery of software projects in a team-based environment
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, product managers, customer success representatives and other engineers to define, design, scope and ship new features using elegant solutions.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.
• Help others to improve the quality of their work through regular design and code reviews
• Deliver new features to production environments and support them in operation

FarmSetu’s technology stack includes (but will not be limited to) Python, Django/Flask/FastAPI, GraphQL, Hasura, React, Flutter, Dart, Postgres, Celery, Docker, Git/Bitbucket to be deployed on Digitalocean/GCP infrastructure. We’re also quick to adopt better tools and processes, so you’ll be more than welcome to help shape our tool suite.

• 2+ years of experience developing applications at an enterprise scale using the front and back-end technologies in our stack
• Ability to develop robust and scalable backend services defined by GraphQL and RESTful APIs in Python using OpenAPI standards
• Familiarity with Cloud/SaaS architectures and how to build secure and maintainable services
• Strong understanding of unit testing, design patterns and usage of tools like profilers
• Experience with source control and continuous integration tools
• Worked in an Agile multi-functional team

• 0-3 application development experience in solution building on Blockchain technology.
• Solid understanding of and experience in blockchain / distributed ledger technologies familiarity with platforms, such as Ethereum and Hyperledger.
• Any additional expertise with Python, containerization (Docker) and additional Cloud exposure also a huge plus
• Security Architecture / Cryptography is a plus.
