Senior Backend Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Spring Boot Developer with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in developing scalable applications using Java Spring Boot framework, and proficiency in integrating various technologies including AWS services, Kafka messaging, Elasticsearch for indexing and search capabilities, and multiple databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs is essential for this role. Additionally, the candidate should have hands-on experience in developing microservices architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Java Spring Boot applications.
• Integrate applications with AWS services for storage, computation, and messaging.
• Implement Kafka for real-time data processing and communication.
• Utilize Elasticsearch for indexing and querying large datasets.
• Work with various databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless interaction between systems.
• Create robust test cases and test plans for REST APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Design and implement microservices architectures to support scalable and resilient applications.
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in Java development with strong proficiency in Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS).
• Proficiency in Kafka for building scalable and resilient real-time data pipelines.
• Experience with Elasticsearch for data indexing and search functionalities.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles.

Job brief 

We are looking for a qualified Database developer to design stable and reliable databases, according to our company’s needs. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively.

As part of our IT team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will also collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.

• Proven work experience as a Database developer (5+ Years)
• In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Advanced proficiency and hands on experience with T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers, Schedulers etc.
• Familiarity working with MS SQL Server, MySQL, .Net Framework, java
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• An ability to understand front-end users’ requirements and a problem-solving attitude
• Ability to craft detailed technical manuals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BE/MCA/MSc Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.

Create and test applications for websites.

Maintaining the appearance of websites

Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Maintain and update websites

Troubleshoot website problems.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS. 
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture. 
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible. 
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability. 
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required:

• At least 2 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds. 
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database. 
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases. 
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j. 
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs. 
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks. 
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks. 
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications. 
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools. 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. 
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms. 
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences. 
• Experience building a large scale social or location-based app.

Desired candidates must have 3-6 years experience as NodeJs Developer.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding functional and business requirements and translate them into effective code
• Provide support till deployment of code into production.
• Ownership for ensuring code optimization, problem diagnosis, and on-time delivery
• Implement solutions as per the pre-defined framework /guidelines and adherence to processes
• Finding an optimal solution for the problem statement

What candidate should know about:

• Excellent hands-on experience with Node.Js, Express.Js, JavaScript
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Excellent hands-on experience with MongoDB, Mongo aggregation, MySQL
• Ability to build REST services, Authentications, MVC applications
• Excellent Object Oriented Programming skills and ability to write modular, secure, scalable, and maintainable code
• Experience with Elastic Search, Redis.
