Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer – L3 to join our Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for cloud and on-premises architecture and deployments, administration, and end-user support of Windows/VMware Solutions, primarily focusing on VMware Horizon On-premise and VMware Horizon Cloud infrastructure.
This is a full-time permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize your 8+ years of proven experience in VMware Horizon, vSphere, Microsoft Active Directory, VMware UEM, iVDM, and 3rd party IDM integration.
- Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Azure administration.
- Showcase proficiency in Amazon administration.
- Possess VMware VCP Certification in VMware Horizon 7, Cloud, and vSphere.
- Hold Microsoft MCSA certification.
- Exhibit knowledge and exposure to cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to VMware ESX, ESXi, vSphere, Horizon View, Airwatch, and Mirage.
- Design and engineer high-availability architectures in VMware DRS cluster environments.
- Resolve user-level issues related to connection servers.
- Perform P2V, vMotion, VMware virtual center (vSphere), and SSO configurations.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
- Demonstrate TCP/IP knowledge with a strong foundation in LAN technologies, network switching, routing, and DNS.
- Possess excellent knowledge of x86 servers from vendors like IBM, Dell, and HP.
- Show proficiency in Windows Server Administration and troubleshooting.
- Possess hands-on skills in Hyperconverged hardware infrastructure.
- Display advanced working knowledge of storage technologies such as RAIDs, Fiber Channel, and iSCSI with vendors like EMC, Netapp, Equallogic, and HP EVA/Left hand.
- ITIL Certification (v2 or v3) would be advantageous.
- Willingness to work in US/UK shifts.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering/BSC/MCA/MCM (with IT specialization).
Secondary Skills:
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).
- Strong team player, capable of collaborating with senior team members, conducting technical sessions, and mentoring L1 team members.
- Ability to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Experience in interacting with customers, third-party OEMs, and hardware vendors, including raising calls with Microsoft, VMware, and other vendors.
- Documentation skills and preparation of SOPs.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Train L1 and other support team members.
- Demonstrated positive and proactive approach.
- Flexibility to work in US and UK shifts as per organizational requirements, including rotational night shifts.
