Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a JAVA Spring Boot backend API developer. The Java Software Developer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining APIs. Daily tasks include develop and test apis, coding in Java Spring Boot, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The engineer will also work with the Spring Framework to develop scalable and efficient APIs.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with specialization in Computer science or related field
• 4-10 years of experience as a software engineer in a product development setting
• Deep experience in Python with demonstrated ability to build modern products
• Experience in designing APIs and integration patterns, implementing secure and sustainable products with a focus on quality and scalability
• Experience in FastAPI, Django, or equivalent
• Experience in data modeling and efficient usage of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent
• Experience with modern components like async python, pedantic, sqlalchemy, alembic, celery, google products API integration, etc. is a plus
• Understanding of CI/CD practices including code check-in policies, automated unit tests, automated code deployments, etc.
• Experience in other programming languages is a plus, especially Javascript and/or Typescript
• Experience building feature-rich and scalable web apps is a plus
• Ability to grasp new technologies and use them effectively to create industrial-strength software

Job description

You will be responsible for handling entire back-end infrastructure of Saakh. You will work closely with founder and CTO to discuss the strategy and to implement the said aforesaid within the deadlines. Saakh is a fast-moving start-up who is at the early stages, timely execution is of paramount importance.

Job responsibilities

• Build innovative, state-of-the-art applications.
• Ensure HTML, CSS, and shared JavaScript is valid and consistent across applications.
• Prepare and maintain all applications utilizing standard development tools.
• Utilize backend data services and contribute to increasing existing data services API.
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and

post launch support.

• Convey effectively with all task progress, evaluations, suggestions, schedules along with

technical and process issues.

• Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
• Coordinates with co-developers and keeps project managers well informed of the status of

development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager.

• Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development.

Desired profile

• Previous working experience as a Laravel developer for 4+ years.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or similar relevant field.
• In depth knowledge of object-Oriented PHP and Laravel PHP Framework.

1. Contribute to the development of Web Applications Mobile restful APIs.
2. Help scale our mobile team processes by practicing "Clean Code" principles for app architecture, branching/versioning, release train, Test Driven Development.
3. Advocate for the Web platform e.g: evaluating new frameworks, leading the technical vision at Sri Aurobindo Society
4. Deliver applications with enhanced features and capabilities, while also maintaining and continually improving turnaround time and quality
5. Mentor and lead a team of developers; Lead code reviews and team meetings
