Java Developer Engineer

Responsibilities (what the job involves)
 Architect, develop and maintain highly scalable, reliable and secure distributed backend
systems on Cloud (AWS or Azure) or on-premises environments for  its customers
and partners.
 Work closely with your fellow engineers to develop systems capable of concurrently
processing massive amounts of voice data both in online real-time as well as offline
environments.
 Drive accountability for test driven development, delivery of high-quality features and
resilient enterprise class solutions.
 Lead a culture of team ownership and direct individual and team accountability to
continuously improve how they work to achieve results.
 Work in a startup environment, pushing boundaries with deep involvement with business.
Requirements (what we are looking for)
The right person is better than the right set of experiences and these are the traits we’ve
identified make great additions to our team.
 BE//BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier I or Tier II
University.
 6-8 years of hands-on software development and deployment experience (experience of
working in a consumer product startup during its growth phase will be a plus) of which 1 – 2
years of experience would be in leading a team of software developers.
 Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Boot is a must
 Good experience in messaging platforms like RabbitMQ/Kafka
 Good experience in distributed systems and relational & NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL,
MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, etc.
 Expertise in one or more of: Python, NodeJS, GoLang would be preferred
 Must have hands on experience in products which handle multiple concurrent calls (API),
handle CPU intensive jobs, consist of multiple asynchronous system calls.
 Worked on microservices based architecture and design
 Managed/ Owned infrastructure on AWS/Microsoft Azure/private clouds and setup high
availability systems
 Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
 Knowledge of RESTful APIs, caching concepts, the HTTP protocol and general web
architecture

About You:
● You have a minimum of 7 years of experience working on production systems at a
productcompany with a decent scale
● You have a deep understanding of design patterns, memory/performance optimization, and how to summarise and share knowledge
● You have experience developing software services and an understanding of design for scalability,performance, and reliability
● You have excellent experience in managing security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and scalability
● You have familiarity with microservice architecture, containers, and related technologies
● You have strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, including relevant backgroundin computer science fundamentals and agile development methodologies.

programminglanguages like Ruby on Rails, Python, Javascript.
● You have a strong understanding of relational databases and SQL and you practice test drivendevelopment

Location: We are open to candidates working from anywhere in India/across the globe. At the moment, however, like most teams, we are fully remote.

As Sr. Java Engineer for Blume Global, you will:

• Work with product team to understand product vision and requirements
• Solve complex technical problems and perform the code reviews for junior team members.
• Produce deliverables at a consistently high rate and with consistently excellent quality
• Work with a team of engineering professionals to ensure the highest quality product delivery

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for insuring the successful launch of many product features.

Key responsibilities

• Work in a product based R&D team and collaborate with other teams to integrate.
• Write code that is of high quality and consistent with our coding standards
• Analyze highly complex business requirements, break the requirements to multiple applications; generate technical
specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Maintain best practices for development/code changes as needed
• Design and architect software applications
• Conducting code reviews and enforcing the quality standards
• Conducting the daily SCRUM meetings and removing the roadblocks
• Performance testing and tuning for scalability
• Develop quick proof of concepts to set the technical direction for rest of the team.
• Work with Devops and Automation team to develop automation strategy for your application.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of software development experience on web applications
• Experience in working in an onsite and offshore development model
• Must have hands-on design and development experience in Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, Microservices,
Java, J2EE, Spring/Boot, Hibernate, JUnit and Integration with front end via rest interfaces.
• Must have Hands-on experience in Multi-threading, Non-blocking IO, Kafka, JMS
• Strong integration background required. Experience with Microservices, REST, JSON and APIs is required
• Experience with as many of the following is highly desirable: Tomcat, Node.js, XML, XSLT, XPath, Web Services,
MongoDB, MYSQL, and query performance tuning
• Experience with code management and continuous integration techniques and tools such as Maven, Gradle, Github,
JMeter, Jenkins, NPM etc. is highly desirable
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and working knowledge in data structures, algorithms, problem-solving and
complexity analysis
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and
operations
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues in production including root cause analysis
• Self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment
• Experience with Agile software development in a UNIX/Linux environment
• Experience with system architecture/design

Must have : Java / J2EE (preferably Java 1.5 and above), Multi threading, JMS, EJB, WebServices (SOAP, JSON and MQs), Struts 2 and Hibernate.
 
Good to have : Oracle, WAS/Tomcat server knowledge and basic knowledge of shell scripting.

Tech Lead (Experience range from 7-12 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a full product development lifecycle from ideation, design, development, to roll out and support
• Own the delivery of multiple features of the product end to end while hands-on in development as well
• Advocate best development practices such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, automation (testing and infrastructure)

Role and Qualifications:

1. 7+ Years’ of experience, managing teams of 5+ people
2. Must have excellent programming, debugging and scripting skills with a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design principles.
3. Proficiency in at least two of the following: Java, NodeJS, Go, JavaScript, Python programming stacks, and passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
4. Knowledge of software practices like refactoring, clean code, domain driven design, Encapsulation etc
5. Hands on experience managing databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.
6. Exposure to event driven systems and event streaming engines like Kafka
7. Good knowledge of DevOps tooling like docker, kubernetes, ansible/chef, AWS.
