Job Description: Java Backend Expert

Experience: 8+ Years (Relevant Experience: 8 Years)

Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension to 12 months based on performance)

Location: Client Office (Gurugram)

Preferred Candidates: Delhi NCR (must be ready to travel to Gurugram)

Work Timings: Monday to Friday (10 am to 7 pm IST)

Number of Interviews: 3 Technical Interviews (Video Call)

Laptop + Internet: Mandatory to be provided by the resource partner or arranged by the candidate

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Expert to join our team for a 6-month contract, with a possibility of extension based on performance. The successful candidate will work from the client office in Gurugram and should be ready to travel from the Delhi NCR region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, particularly in API integration with web applications or SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Integration:
• Work on API integration with web applications or SaaS products.
• Set up API templates on repositories that can be scaled across the developer community.
• Developer Portal Integration:
• Assist development teams in integrating with the Developer Portal (Backstage).
• Provide guidance on transitioning to mono repo branching strategies.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and performance optimization.
• Offer technical support and best practices for API integration and repository management.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Java backend development.
• Proven experience in API integration with web applications or SaaS products.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of setting up scalable API templates.
• Familiarity with mono repo branching strategies and their implementation.
• Experience with developer portals, specifically Backstage, is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Technical Skills :

Mandatory: Core PHP & Symfony preferably experience with PHP 7, Ajax, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Responsive Web Design

Good to have: REST API Development, MySQL queries, MongoDB queries, Angular JS 6.0, Node.JS

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, high spirited, eager to learn, able to perform in a high-pressure environment

This is a temporary full time/freelancer role.

Requirements: 

• - Write well designed, testable code in popular Javascript frameworks like React, Angular etc. and Ruby/Ruby on Rails.
  - A good exposure to both SQL and NoSQL database architectures.
• - Ability to write well documented and testable scripts to automate some processes, preferably using Javascript and/or Ruby.
• - A strong problem solving mindset.
• - Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  - Ability to work collaboratively in teams, with a self-starting, entrepreneurial and ownership mindset.
• - Experience working on Open Source projects is a big plus

Responsibilities:               

• - You will be responsible to work on key issues for one of our dashboard platforms, and collaborate with other developers and the product team to drive the product development forward.
• - You will be expected to take ownership of the work you do, and the dashboard platform that you will be working on.
• - You will be also responsible to train future developers on the platform you'll be working on, once they join your team.
• - At times you will be required to communicate and collaborate with our dashboard implementation partners on a technical front, to discuss roadblocks, potential future roadmaps and improvements, along with our engineering and product teams.
• - You will be required to attend weekly cadences with the team to discuss updates and future goals, brainstorm on some problems and give key updates on deliverables on behalf of the team you'll be working with.

We are looking for highly motivated engineers with the following skillset-

• Engineering degree in Computer science or ECE or MCA is a must
• In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
• Experience using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Zend, etc. - any 1 is required
• VueJS, AngularJS, ReactJS - knowledge of any 1 is required
• Between 1-5 years of work experience is required
• Very strong data structure and algorithm knowledge
• Ideal candidate would be a very strong developer with great coding skills
• Good English communication skills
• Willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work through ambiguous requirements and come up with a clear scope and problem statement
