About AM:PM

AM:PM is a VC-backed news platform built for short-form video, reels, and fast threads, for Gen Z and millennials who want to stay informed without sitting through a panel of five people agreeing with each other for 40 minutes. We go deep without going slow. We understand internet culture because we live in it, not because we read a report about it.

Why this role matters

AM:PM is not building another news app. We are trying to change the form itself. The slash mechanic. The wraps. The newsroom. The discourse layer. These surfaces only work if the design pushes the product forward, not if it plays safe. You will decide what AM:PM looks like, feels like, and how users move through it.

What you will own

• Design the AM:PM app end-to-end across wraps, newsroom, and discourse
• Build the slash interaction for opinion and counter-opinion switching so it feels native, not gimmicky
• Create and maintain the AM:PM design system from the brand foundation up
• Use Figma, Claude, and any AI tool that helps you move faster without lowering the quality
• Run usability calls with real Gen Z users and use what you learn, not what you assume6. Work directly with the founding team and CTO to ship what you design
• Experiment fast, kill what does not work, and double down on what does

Who you are

• 1+ years of designing consumer mobile products that have shipped to real users
• You have worked on at least one Gen Z product end-to-end, not just one screen
• Your portfolio shows visual range, motion thinking, product logic, and more than one design language.
• You move at startup pace and do not need a perfect brief to begin
• Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate within commutable distance

Machine Learning Engineer (For client company)

The Role

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to build and productionize models that power fall detection, vitals monitoring, and predictive health insights from radar sensor data.

You will work closely with hardware, data engineering, backend, and product teams to improve model accuracy, reduce false alarms, and deploy reliable ML systems into production.

This role is ideal for someone with strong classical machine learning fundamentals who is comfortable working with messy real-world sensor data and writing clean, production-grade code.

What You'll Do

• Build and optimize classical ML models such as XGBoost, ensemble models, anomaly detection, and time-series models for fall detection, vitals monitoring, and health risk scoring.
• Engineer features from raw, sparse, and noisy radar signals, point-cloud data, and time-series sensor streams.
• Contribute to computer vision-adjacent problems such as pose estimation, movement analysis, skeleton tracking, and activity recognition using radar data.
• Build training, evaluation, and inference pipelines using Databricks.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on resident, device, alert, and facility-level datasets to identify trends, edge cases, and opportunities for model improvement.
• Define and own model evaluation metrics for safety-critical systems, including:
• Precision
• Recall
• Sensitivity

• Analyze production model performance across facilities, residents, devices, and time periods.
