Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust, high-performance backend solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Lead the architecture and design discussions for major backend components and services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and backend frameworks like Django and Flask.
• In-depth knowledge of database systems, both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, etc. ).
• Proven track record of designing and developing scalable and maintainable backend services.
• Experience with RESTful API design and best practices.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design principles, and software development lifecycle.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers is a strong plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e. g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.

Get to know the role:

We are looking for an experienced coder with expertise in deep distributed systems and event-driven systems and experience working with streaming platforms. They should have a strong focus on scalability and reliability, and a deep understanding of collaboration and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, reliable and efficient backend system
• Write high quality, well documented and maintainable code.
• Seek and incorporate feedback from code and design reviews to improve code quality and design effectiveness.
• Translate business or technical requirements into effective design documents such as ERDs and RFCs to address clearly defined problems.
• Develops tests to verify code functionality and stability; establishes monitoring and alerting systems to ensure code reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.

Desired skill set:

• At least 7 years of experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more of the following NodeJS, Java, or Go.

Job description

• Engage with the business team and stakeholder at different levels to understand business needs, analyze, document, prioritize the requirements, and make recommendations on the solution and implementation.
