- Strong Expertise in CodeIgniter Framework.
- Sound knowledge of database designing and application architecture planning for Core PHP projects.
- Expertise in PHP, MVC Frameworks, and good technology exposure of CodeIgniter Open cart or any CMS added advantage.
- String core PHP Hands-on experience.
- Good Knowledge of PHP5, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting it to the back-end.
- A good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX will be preferred.
- Prior experience in the payment gateway or education ERP domain is a plus.

Leading parts of the product from inception to launch, and own large parts of the product’s execution.
Working with our Sales and frontend team to build products with the goal of delighting and increasing the success of our users.
Architecting, building, testing, and releasing product-facing features.
Contributing to our side projects and free tools for the education industry.
What do I need? 🤓
1-2 years of industry experience in a software engineering role, preferably building a SaaS product. You can demonstrate significant impact that your work has had on the product and/or the team.
Deep knowledge of a high-level programming language (for example, PHP, Python, etc.) but it doesn’t need to be a language that we use here! Great people are effective and learn what we use quickly (or introduce us to better ways of working)
Deep knowledge of SQL Databases
Experience with scalable distributed systems, both built from scratch as well as on AWS primitives
Willingness to learn and use new technologies
Extremely data-driven
Ability to debug complex systems

What Would You Be Doing
- Building and supporting backend and frontend development of websites and application projects
- Producing appropriate and effective technical solutions

- Mentor junior developers technically.
- Actively work to reduce tech debt in the Locus backend
- Work towards more stability & scalability of the backend
- Tech stack - Java, AWS, Aurora etc.
Eligibility
- 4-8 years of product company experience
- OOP implementation experience. Programming language does not matter, We use Java internally but have hired folks from non Java background.
- Hands on experience in SQL, Dynamo DB, Postgres etc preferred.
- Prior experience building REST APIs
- Advanced understanding of AWS stack
- Prior knowledge of solving problems at scale.
