Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Production Engineer – Mechanical to manage and monitor manufacturing operations, ensure production targets are achieved, and maintain quality and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical manufacturing processes and a strong understanding of engineering drawings, production planning, machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and fitting.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities as per production targets.
• Ensure timely production while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions.
• Manage manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and fitting.
• Monitor manpower, machine utilization, material availability, and overall production efficiency.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and Design/Engineering teams.
• Reduce rejection, rework, material wastage, cycle time, and machine downtime.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, process sheets, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of production machinery, tools, and measuring instruments.
• Maintain shop-floor discipline and ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in mechanical manufacturing/production.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC/VMC, machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, and fitting will be preferred.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Good understanding of production planning and manpower management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and team-coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates from engineering manufacturing, machinery, fabrication, machining, or industrial production backgrounds will be preferred.

Salary: ₹35,000–₹45,000/month, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

5–8 years of relevant production experience.

Diploma / B.E. in Plastic or Mechanical Engineering.

Strong experience in shop-floor and shift production management.

Hands-on experience in manpower handling and machine utilization.

Good coordination with Quality and Maintenance teams.

Comfortable working in 12-hour shifts.
