Role / Purpose - Lead Developer - API and Microservices

Must have a strong hands-on development track record building integration utilizing a variety of integration products, tools, protocols, technologies, and patterns.

• Must have an in-depth understanding of SOA/EAI/ESB concepts, SOA Governance, Event-Driven Architecture, message-based architectures, file sharing, and exchange platforms, data virtualization and caching strategies, J2EE design patterns, frameworks
• Should possess experience with at least one of middleware technologies (Application Servers, BPMS, BRMS, ESB & Message Brokers), Programming languages (e.g. Java/J2EE, JavaScript, COBOL, C), Operating Systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, MVS), and Databases (DB2, MySQL, No SQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc.)
• Must have experience implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using any of the market-leading API Management tools such as Apigee and frameworks such as Spring Boot for Microservices
• Should have Advanced skills in implementing API Service architectures (SOAP, REST) using any of the market-leading API Management tools such as Apigee or similar frameworks such as Spring Boot for Microservices 
• Appetite to manage large-scale projects and multiple tracks
•  Experience and knowhow of the e-commerce domain and retail experience are preferred

About the Role
As a Principal Software Engineer with Treebo, you’ll have the opportunity to own and deliver
product(s) that will help Treebo accomplish its goals. The engineering team is at the fore front
of implementing new technologies in order to gain a dominant foothold in the Hospitality
industry. You will design and deploy scalable, high performance, multi-tenant systems. You will
interact with other engineering teams and contribute back to the open source tech community.

Responsibilities
● Owns team's output and E2E definition and execution of SDLC. Drives sprint
planning, estimates & prioritizes tasks, Keeps key stakeholders updated on
progress, milestones and any potential slippages.
● Identifies pitfalls across code bases proactively. Writes model code that is looked
up to. Understands internals of programming languages & runtimes. Creates
common reusable components / libraries- Uses advanced data structures.
● Designs API contracts between large systems with end to end service design and
active leadership towards long term sustainability including versioning, complex
migration plans, impact analysis across products.
● Owns NFRs and pushes the envelop on performance, scalability and high availability
with cognisance towards cost of infra. Drives tech stack selection independently,
mentors junior engineers. Evangelises of generic platform building across the
organisation.
● Troubleshoots unseen issues across codebases. Solves large end to end cross
cutting problems with elegant solutions with an eye on long term sustainability.
● Partners with and influences product managers on “how”. Leads the pack on hiring
and evangalizes steeper hiring standards towards building A+ team. Represents
treebo on external platform / conferences.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
● 7+ years relevant work experience in software engineering while leading teams.
● Proficiency in more than one modern programming language such as
Python/Java/C++ & associated tech stack to write maintainable, scalable,
unit-tested code
● Experience in building complex software systems that have been successfully
delivered
● Deep understanding of design patterns, optimizations, deployments with a Strong
object oriented design skills
● Experience mentoring other software engineers.
● Experience with full life cycle development in any programming language

Skills and Experience Desired-
9+ years of industry experience from art and design background Experienced in leading digital projects, which includes design and development of gaming apps.
Implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms in an iterative game development environment.

About Role The Salesforce Team Lead/Developer will be the first person hired in the Bangalore to begin establishing a presence to support the global Salesforce implementation. Over time, this person will become the team lead for the India location and build out a robust team to handle production operations, required monitoring, enhancements, testing automation, continuous improvement, and much more. Including hands on apex development solving business problems, refactoring and debugging code (yours and inherited) • SFDC Platform Developer I certification a plus • Experience with QA testing processes and writing unit tests • Prior team lead and/or management experience supporting a global implementation from India • Experience with the lifecycle in an agile / scrum environment, desirably with experience also of traditional structured programs and continuous integration • Knowledge of code management, continuous integration, and version control processes and tools • Experience with Sales Acceleration and Marketing Automation platforms preferred • Capable of working to both tactical and strategic timescales • Adaptable and experienced working in a fast moving and growing organization. • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers • Proven experience of eliminating system or process complexity to increase efficiency
