Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Node.js Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for backend development, expertise in building scalable applications, and a deep understanding of server-side logic. You’ll work with a team of talented engineers to develop improve, and scale our backend systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design and implement APIs, web services, and backend systems usingNode.js.
• Database Management: Develop and optimize database solutions, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and security.
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, designers, and other team members to create a cohesive product.
• Testing & Debugging: Write unit tests, perform debugging, and ensure the codebase meets quality standards.
• Scalability: Ensure the application is scalable, maintainable, and performs well under high traffic.
• Code Review: Participate in code reviews, share feedback, and promote best practices for coding.
• Documentation: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for system architecture, APIs, and codebase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and ES6+ features.
• Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL API design.
• Knowledge of frameworks like Express.js or Koa.
• Familiarity with database technologies(e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud services(AWS, GCP). Tools: Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and other dev tools.

What you will be doing:

• SATISFIC is a product-based company; hence will be required to work on product development and support.

• Develop module specification documents for internal purpose.
• Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of the deliverables and system.

About your experience:

• Total work experience of more than 5 years and minimum 3+ years in development
• Has led a team of developers and coders on Node js
• 3-4 years of proven experience in Node.Js and frameworks available for it.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Expertise with Services (REST, SOAP, JSON) and APIs (Service-oriented architectures).
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Tech/Team Lead, and the rest of the engineering team to build and scale a data-driven platform.

Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, building new services and APIs, developing UI components, supporting the maintenance of current APIs, reviewing work, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization

• An effective Senior Software Engineer will be a self-motivated learner; a highly creative engineer having obsessive attention towards detail and thoroughness.
• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 4+ years
• You’re proficient in NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL, and MongoDB
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experience with TDD (Test Driven Development)
