Junior Accountant – Job Description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Job Summary:

Assist in maintaining accounting records, processing financial transactions, reconciling client and bank accounts, preparing GST/TDS records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a stock broking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record accounting entries and maintain ledgers.
• Perform bank and client ledger reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Assist with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Prepare MIS reports and financial data.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams for financial queries.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Basic understanding of stock broking operations (preferred).
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and bank reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
