Junior Accountant – Job Description
Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Summary:
Assist in maintaining accounting records, processing financial transactions, reconciling client and bank accounts, preparing GST/TDS records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a stock broking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record accounting entries and maintain ledgers.
- Perform bank and client ledger reconciliations.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial data.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for financial queries.
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Basic understanding of stock broking operations (preferred).
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and bank reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
