Role Overview
As an Illustrator in the 2D Animation team, you will be responsible for creating detailed and stylized illustrations that will serve as assets for animated sequences. Your work will play a key role in developing characters, environments, props, and visual elements that enhance narrative flow and animation quality.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop original character designs, environments, and background illustrations for animation projects
● Collaborate closely with animators, scriptwriters, and art directors to create consistent visual styles
● Create frame-by-frame assets and visual elements to support animation sequences
● Ensure illustrations are layered, clean, and animation-ready (Adobe Animate/After Effects pipeline)
● Adapt illustration styles based on project requirements and feedback
● Maintain consistency in color, tone, and style across the project lifecycle
Requirements
● 2–5 years of experience in digital illustration, preferably in an animation or creative studio setting
● Strong portfolio demonstrating character design, background design, and storytelling through visuals
● Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Wacom tablets
● Basic understanding of animation workflows and how illustrations support motion
● Strong grasp of anatomy, perspective, color theory, and visual storytelling
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
Good to Have
● Experience working with 2D animation software (Adobe Animate, After Effects)
● Familiarity with storyboarding and visual development
● Prior work in animated content for entertainment, ed-tech, or marketing
