The Job
You will be joining a small and growing engineering team faced with novel challenges that will push your creativity and hone your skills while demanding impactful work.
Working closely with our Data Operations team you will be tasked with the crucial responsibility of conceptualizing and creating efficient solutions that will help automate and improve our data collection and analysis processes. Work-flow optimization, creating innovative solutions to increase productivity, automating quality control and updating and improving existing systems to use the latest technology standards will be your team's primary responsibilities. We will expect you to take ownership of your work and deliver results while granting you considerable freedom in reaching your goals.
Data Operations forms the back bone of our company. You will be joining us where our biggest ideas and best innovations originate.
The requirement
- 3+ years experience in hands on web development using Ruby on Rails web application framework.
- Strong full-lifecycle experience developing web applications.
- Ability to automate Rails Deployments (Jenkins and Capistrano).
- Proficiency with MySQL querying, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript & CSS.
- Excellent understanding of object oriented design principles.
- Ability to integrate and use Open APIs.
- Strong knowledge in relational database core concepts, functions, triggers and events etc.
- Proficient in maintaining Virtual Private Servers (From Rackspace, AmazonAWS and Google Cloud, etc.)
- Ability to deploy and maintain web applications with best practices across multiple servers with proficiency in load balancing them.
- Experience in Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS and Javascript)
- Passion for video games is a plus.
