Connected Cars is all about seamless inter-connectivity as part of the recent technological trend towards IoT (Internet of Things) and smart devices, wherein all of the information related to a car’s overall health is collected from a device connected to the car’s OBD (On Board Diagnostics) port and provides timely alerts to the owner/user. How it Works: Transmits data from the vehicle (captured from GPS, accelerometers, magnetometers or in-vehicle sensors) Captures environmentally relevant real-time transportation data and uses this data to create actionable information to support and facilitate transportation On-board equipment suggests to vehicle owners on how to optimize the vehicle's operation and maintenance for maximum fuel efficiency Incorporates embedded fleet management features Addressable Markets include: Automotive OEMs Auto Dealers/Service Centers Insurance Companies Rental Car Providers, Radio-taxi Operators and/or Tourist/Travel Cab Companies DIY Car Owners
