Job Title: Millwork / Cabinet Designer
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full Time
Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing architectural plans, coordinating with designers and general contractors, evaluating quotes, and developing detailed millwork packages—including for brand prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Review and interpret architectural floor plans and translate them into clear, buildable millwork/cabinet designs.
•
Evaluate and mark up shop drawings for compliance, accuracy, and constructability.
•
Understand and apply detailed knowledge of cabinet composition, construction methods, materials, and finishes.
•
Develop millwork drawing packages for brand prototype rollouts, ensuring consistency with design intent, brand standards, and production feasibility.
•
Review and compare supplier quotes, assisting in selection and value engineering where necessary.
•
Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal designers, architects, general contractors, and fabricators throughout all project stages.
•
Maintain project timelines and deliverables in line with construction schedules and budget requirements.
•
Provide design input or solutions that enhance functionality, manufacturability, or aesthetics when appropriate.
Qualifications:
•
Minimum 2 years of experience in millwork or cabinet design, with experience in brand development or prototype rollouts a strong plus.
•
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and construction documents.
•
Expert-level understanding of shop drawing standards and production workflows.
•
Hands-on experience with CAD and drafting tools.
•
Solid grasp of cabinet joinery, hardware, and millwork materials.
•
Strong organizational and project management skills.
•
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Role Overview
Design and deliver personalized, functional interiors focused on furniture and spatial planning. Advise clients, create clear floor plans and three-dimensional visuals, and coordinate with sales and design teams to meet style, budget, and timeline goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to capture goals, preferences, and constraints.
- Create furniture layouts, floor plans, and three-dimensional visualizations.
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and feasibility checks.
- Recommend furniture, materials, and placements aligned to budget.
- Prepare clear proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Coordinate with sales, design teams, and vendors for delivery.
- Keep up-to-date with design trends, materials, and product ranges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Proven experience in interior consulting or furniture-focused design (portfolio required).
- Strong skills in space planning and design principles.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design and three-dimensional modeling software.
- Excellent client-facing communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a professional approach to client service.
Work Schedule
- Availability to work 6 days per week.
- One weekly day off provided between Monday and Thursday.
Duties
- Perform site survey and analysis on all noise and vibration requirement
- Develop acoustic system design concepts and report to achieve project and product performance requirements
- Troubleshoot noise issue and provide solution
- Collaborate with the sale team to provide acoustic solution through site visits and measurement
- Study Project specification and propose suitable product and solution
- Prepare project BOQ and Technical submittal
- Develop and improve the company acoustic products
Experience
- Good knowledge and understanding of acoustic testing and measurement techniques
- Good experience in Acoustic Software's
- Good Experience in AutoCAD and other modelling software
