In this role you will: 

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand product requirements and business objectives.
• Own and execute the development of new capabilities for the product that align with business goals. 
• Develop modular, reusable code components to streamline development and maintenance.
• Optimize the application by identifying areas of improvement with regard to performance, security, reusability, focusing on the back end of the application.
• Build an understanding of the product/business and identify the right design patterns/architecture to implement.
• Help UX designers/product managers understand feasibility or effort for developments being planned to help prioritize
• Contribute to team growth by sharing best practices, improvement suggestions, sharing constructive feedback around code quality, processes, documentation, etc.

● Troubleshoot and debug issues through systematic problem-solving, debugging, and testing. 

• Create and maintain technical documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture.

Role Requirements:

Experience:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in back-end development. Full stack developers with an inclination towards back end development would be considered too.
• Experience with NodeJS, Python and preferably other JS flavors/languages too. ExpressJS experience would be good too.
• Experience working with AWS services, MongoDB.
• Candidates with experience working in a tech product startup would be preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript (Node.js must).
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI).
• Design/architecture-first thinking

Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• An understanding of the importance of clear documentation. 

Problem-Solving:

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and frameworks as needed.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with serverless architecture.
• Previous experience with CI/CD implementation.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

What you will do

- Spearhead building of the new transformation backend platform from 0 to 1

- Design the software for all its stakeholders - its end-users, developers, technical and

product support, and DevOps

- Evaluate technical/architectural options and tradeoffs.

- Implement proof-of-concepts. Hands-on.

- Create a solutions/design pattern library for similar problems and advocate them

- Provide technical leadership and guide development teams

- Setup best practices for design, coding, testing, security, monitoring, and release

management

- Interface with cloud, and customers’ technical teams

- Measuring and constantly improving developer productivity

- Work with product managers to build application extensibility into design

- Occasional project management when a project is more technical focused

- Occasional people management in the absence of other senior leaders

As the Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing cutting edge health-tech applications that include high scale transaction processing, intelligent bot based programs and data analytics.

What you will do:

• Building components for the company's advanced health tech platform using Java, Solr, SpringBoot, DialogFlow
• Communicating effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and solutions effectively
• Participating in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications
• Developing the Code as per the requirements
• Working with product team and constructing the tech roadmap
• Designing, building and scaling the company's backend microservices
• Maintaining code integrity and organization
• Applying all quality requirements to make the code production ready
• Developing and deploying new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
• Developing documentation related to technical aspects and to facilitate current support, development, upgrades, or migrations
• Designing and building efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Pro actively catching and fixing bugs, and providing support for the back end services
• Managing servers and infrastructure by keeping the lights on and refining the deployment architecture

What you need to have:

• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Well-versed in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Programming experience with at least one of
• Java or Python and object-oriented design
• Knowledge on SQL, NoSQL databases, Messaging/Caching technologies and AW deployments is a plus
• Exposure to the architecture and design (design patterns, security, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems. Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing large complex business flows involving multiple third-party integrations
• Prior startup experience is a plus

• Work closely with peer teams to ensure that applications are written to allow for overall system performance.
• Assist in tuning and optimization.

Job Responsibilities
