Job Description

We are looking for a Front End developer who is excellent with JavaScript (React.js + Redux). Some proficiency with Node.js preferred as you’ll be hooking up your front-ends to APIs and occasionally writing your own.

Your primary focus will be to develop the UI/UX for highly interactive / social / multiplayer learning platform, across the Student Product, Parent Product, Teacher Product, Virtual Classroom, and more.

Responsibilities

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality React code
• Styling re-usable components with pixel perfection and mobile responsiveness
• Structuring state and information flow across your front-end app using Redux
• Optimizing your code for SEO and maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills / Required Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Redux
• Bonus: past experience with Socket.io and WebRTC
• Writing and consuming REST APIs with Node.js 
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

Job Description-

• Develop end-to-end features (full stack) for users and be proficient with aspects of design and coding.

• Proficiency in automated testing/testing methodologies is a must.

• Create, maintain, and modify (where necessary) the data structure.

• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.

• Work on React projects using specifies tools and databases.

• Should have very good understanding of the technical approach and its viability.

• Should be able to push back and accurately assess the viability of their solutions.

• Should be comfortable adopting testing frameworks and developing with common industry practices such as test-driven development.

Person Specifications/ Requirements

• Good understanding and proven experience of web development and basic languages such as HTML and JavaScript.

• Strong programming experience.

• Experience with Vue.js and Go is required.

• Strong understanding of software development tools, data structures and data modelling.

• Strong Data Analytical Skills.

About KAFQA

At Kafqa, we are building the next generation performing arts platform. Our mission is to transform how India learns, performs & watchers performing arts. We are currently in stealth mode with a target public launch date in April. Our launch services consist of technology enabled dance classes in our proprietary studios, production facilities and social media broadcasting & competitions.

The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business. The other members of the founding team consist of senior executives from Shiamak Davar & Byju’s.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend engineer with ReactJS development experience to join our team.
Here’s are some of the things you might have to do on any given day:

• Implement responsive and performant UIs with user centered approach with frontend technologies including ReactJS, Javascript(ES 6), Typescript, SCSS, etc
• Write meaningful test cases for frontend &amp
• Develop Infrastructure for delivering services using a performance driven approach, build databases, schedule automated jobs, etc

Ideal Background / Experience

• At least 12 months of diverse experience in web development for product or services oriented environment with exposure to working production deployments
• Expertise in programming using Python/ReactJS or similar scripting languages
• In-depth exposure to technologies used in web-based SaaS products, including REST APIs
• Sound understanding of Postgres and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

Nice to have exposure to any of

• AWS
• Azure
• ELK
• Object Relational Models (SQLAlchemy, etc)

Our frontend (React) team is passionate about React Technology and we are working on a few world-class products which have their roots and frontend in React Technology along with Redux, web-hooks, and Reducers. Keeping performance, scalability, usability, and user acceptance in mind, we are looking for a smart frontend engineer that has experience developing a variety of Web Applications using React Technology. (Along with strong frontend expertise, needs a good understanding of how frontend applications work in different browsers and have a mobile responsive design)
