Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator responsible for managing and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, network devices, security systems, storage solutions, and enterprise applications. The role ensures high availability, security, and performance of all IT systems while supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Manage and maintain Linux machines for application hosting and system services.
• Administer and maintain Application Servers supporting internal business applications.
• Manage and maintain Biometric Servers used for employee attendance and access control systems.
• Monitor server health, performance, and system logs.
• Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening.

Storage and File Services

• Manage and maintain Samba File Servers for shared storage and user access.
• Administer NAS storage systems (Synology), including storage allocation, access permissions, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure proper storage utilisation and secure data access.

Network Infrastructure Management

• Configure and manage Sophos Firewall, including firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN configuration, and threat protection.
• Configure and maintain Cisco and Netgear switches, including VLAN configuration and network segmentation.
• Manage and maintain wireless access points to ensure reliable and secure Wi-Fi connectivity.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Proxy and Security Management

• Install, configure, and maintain Proxy Servers for internet access control and monitoring.
• Monitor firewall logs, network security alerts, and implement security policies.
• Ensure network infrastructure is protected against unauthorised access and threats.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

• Implement and manage backup and restore solutions for servers, NAS, and critical business data.
• Perform periodic backup verification and disaster recovery testing.
• Ensure backup policies and schedules are properly maintained.

Power and Infrastructure Management

• Monitor and maintain UPS systems to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for servers and network infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors for UPS maintenance, battery replacement, and power infrastructure reliability.

System Monitoring and Troubleshooting

• Proactively monitor servers, network devices, storage systems, and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application-related issues.
• Maintain proper documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures.

Vendor and Infrastructure Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, infrastructure support, and service management.
• Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Windows Server Administration
• Good knowledge of Linux System Management
• Experience with Sophos Firewall
• Knowledge of Cisco and Netgear networking devices
• Experience with NAS storage (Synology) and Samba File Server
• Experience managing Application Servers and Biometric Systems
• Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery
• Understanding of network security and monitoring

• At least 3 years of C++ programming experience in a Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of computer systems e.g. operating systems, networks, performance optimization, etc
• Experience in Object-Oriented design and multi threaded programming
• Experience in creating/supporting cross-platform multi threaded applications
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ideally some experience in developing low latency systems
• Experience with trading or execution systems preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field
• Reliable and predictable availability

• Maintain UNIX/Linux Operating System
• Create and maintain environment for running batch jobs associated with daily batch cycle and batch reporting subsystem
• Work with LAN/Network personnel to ensure compatibility with LAN applications and peripheral hardware to provide end users with reliable and stable working environment
• Support and maintain other vendor database software installed on the LAN servers
• Perform User Access Management.
• Experience supporting day-today administration functions including user account management and script creation
• Apply Patches and Upgrades as necessary. Perform tasks for Backup and Recovery Management including High Availability
• Install and configure storage arrays and allocate SAN and NAS storage to different OS platforms and/or administer ZFS storage pools, file system, snapshots, and clones.
• Experience in Linux hypervisors KVM, XEN.
• Good knowledge on open stack administration and service operations.
• Good experience on veritas net backup software.
• Strong experience in public clouds AWS, AZURE, GCP.
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNM
• Good understanding on AWS outposts hybrid environment.
• Good experience in the windows server and OS side.
• Experience in Monitoring platforms like Zabbix, ELK, Grafana.
• Troubleshoot Hardware Issues, Installation, and testing of computer peripherals
• Perform/Implement Security Monitoring and audit to identify any possible security intrusions or breaches.
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or other related courses
2. Minimum of 10 years’ experience
3. In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
4. In-depth knowledge in Linux virtualization
5. good knowledge of UNIX and LINUX Operating systems, file systems, storage environments, and networking protocols
6. Knowledgeable in Unix, Linux, Unix, Linux shell scripting. Practical scripting skills in Shell, PERL, Batch, Python
7. good DBA skills MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Timescale, MongoDB
8. Basic Messaging and Collaboration concepts and tools, Server Virtualization
9. Practical understanding of Networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, and VLANs
10. Backup and Storage Management (Netback up mandatory).
11. Familiar and can identify or interpret crash dump files and core dump files and monitor System Logs

Software Developer (B.Tech, Linux+CPP+ROS)

Job Description:

1. Design, implement and deliver custom solutions using the current robotics framework.
2. Bug fixing and improving of current application framework.
3. Design and implement tools to facilitate application development and testing.
4. Work with team members in deployment and field testing.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree / Masters in Engineering (ECE and CSE preferred)
2. Work experience of 3 to 10 years in software programming.
3. Full understanding of software engineering.
4. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming for Linux based systems.
5. Basic Knowledge of Robot Operating System(ROS) is mandatory.
6. Good understanding of the algorithms and control loops.
7. Able to use tools to manage source code, preferably Git / GitHub.
8. Knowledge of video streaming from edge devices is a plus.
