ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deal Sourcing & Origination:

• Identify and engage startups, early-stage companies, and growth businesses seeking funding or strategic investment partners.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of investment opportunities and fundraising mandates.

Relationship Building:

• Develop deep relationships with founders, CXOs, and decision-makers across industries.
• Collaborate closely with the internal investment team to evaluate opportunities for both advisory and co-investment.

Market Research & Intelligence:

• Monitor emerging trends, sectors, and disruptive business models in the startup ecosystem.
• Track competitor activity and ecosystem developments to stay ahead of market shifts.

Fundraising Support:

• Pitch the firm’s advisory services and investment philosophy to startups and entrepreneurs.
• Assist in designing outreach strategies to attract quality fundraising mandates and co-investment opportunities.

Networking & Branding:

• Represent the firm at startup events, pitch competitions, and investor forums.
• Build thought leadership and enhance the firm’s brand presence within the startup and investment ecosystem.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or related fields. MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.

Experience:

• 1-4 years of experience in sales, business development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem, fundraising processes, and investment models.

What Work You’ll Do

• Be the guardian of trust — every system you secure will protect millions of data interactions.

• Own the security posture of our cloud-native SaaS platform — design, implement, and enforce security controls across AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes (EKS) environments.
• Drive security compliance initiatives such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and RBI-aligned frameworks — build systems that enforce, not just document, compliance.
• Architect defense-in-depth systems across EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC layers, ensuring secure configuration, least-privilege access, and continuous compliance.
• Build and automate security pipelines — integrate AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, WAF, and CloudTrail into continuous detection and response systems.
• Lead vulnerability management and incident readiness — identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across the stack while ensuring traceable audit logs.
• Implement and maintain zero-trust and least-privilege access controls using AWS IAM, SSO, and modern secrets management tools like AWS SSM or Vault.

The Skills You Have..

• Deep hands-on experience with AWS security architecture — IAM, VPCs, EKS, EC2, S3, CloudTrail, Security Hub, WAF, GuardDuty, and Inspector.
• Strong background in Linux hardening, container security, and DevSecOps automation.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and integrating security controls into provisioning.
• Knowledge of zero-trust frameworks, least-privilege IAM, and secrets management (Vault, SSM, KMS).
• Experience with SIEM and monitoring tools — configuring alerts, analyzing logs, and responding to incidents.
• Familiarity with compliance automation and continuous assurance — especially SOC 2, ISO 27001, or RBI frameworks.
• Understanding of secure software supply chains — dependency scanning, artifact signing, and policy enforcement in CI/CD.
• Ability to perform risk assessment, threat modeling, and architecture review collaboratively with engineering teams.

What You Should Have Done in the Past

• Secured cloud-native SaaS systems built entirely on AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Led or contributed to SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certification initiatives, ideally in a regulated industry such as FinTech.
• Designed secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated code scanning, image validation, and secrets rotation.
• (Bonus) Built internal security automation frameworks or tooling for continuous monitoring and compliance checks.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3+ years of proven experience with Zoho CRM is a mandatory requirement; you must be an expert in the platform.
• Hands-on experience with coding and development within Zoho CRM (e. g., Deluge scripting, API integration, custom functions, and workflow automation).
• Strong understanding of sales processes and how to optimize them using CRM systems.
• Proficient in analyzing data, generating reports, and using data to drive decisions.
• Familiarity with BigQuery or similar data warehousing platforms for processing and analyzing large datasets is advantageous.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and customer success teams, as well as technical staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and fixing CRM-related issues.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e. g., IT, Computer Science, Business Management).
• Preferred: Experience working in a SaaS environment is a plus.

Main responsibilities and duties:

 Reviews deals on Salesforce with a commercial mindset and assesses the strength and

revenue potential of the deal.

 Has a good understanding of deal structures, and key KPIs e.g. discount, fee etc and uses this

knowledge to suggest improvements to submitted deals in order to maximise potential

profit.

 Works closely with the Merchandiser to ensure deals on-site are bringing in incremental

sales and aren’t cannibalising other deals.

 Provides relevant focus to the sales team to improve quality of deal submissions.

 Prioritises approved deals on the copy board, ensuring deals are written in priority order,

ensuring deals launch in time for key selling periods.

 Schedules launch date of deals.

 Identifies top deals that require a more in-depth write-up from the copy team and ensures

these are written in a timely manner.

Technical Skills required:

 BCom/BBA/MBA Degree or previous experience in a relevant sector

 Proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. excel)

 Ability to analyse data sets in order to arrive at logical conclusions

 Experience in tools such as SQL and Power Bi useful but not essential
