Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Maintenance to manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for production machines and equipment. The candidate should have strong troubleshooting, maintenance planning, team management, and continuous improvement skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and minimum production downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Prepare and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor machine performance and improve equipment efficiency.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Stores teams.
• Supervise the maintenance team and ensure safety compliance.
• Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of Injection Moulding and Blow Moulding machines. 

• Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, starters, contactors, relays, sensors, heaters and control panels. 

• Handle troubleshooting of PLC, HMI, VFD, servo motors and temperature controllers. 

• Maintain electrical panels, MCC/DB panels, MCBs, MCCBs, cables and wiring. 

• Diagnose and repair electrical issues to minimize machine downtime. 

• Maintain and troubleshoot auxiliary equipment such as chillers, compressors, dryers, MTC and cooling towers. 

• Carry out machine installation, electrical connections and commissioning support. 

• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams and schematics. 

• Maintain breakdown reports, maintenance logs, checklists and machine history cards. 

• Coordinate with Production and Maintenance teams for quick resolution of breakdowns. 

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, 5S and plant safety procedures. 

• Maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spares. 

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Injection Moulding & Blow Moulding machines. 

• Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance. 

• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, VFD, Servo, Sensors and Control Panels. 

• Electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding. 

• Knowledge of motors, starters, relays, contactors and temperature controllers. 

• Ability to read electrical drawings. 

• Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

g) Coordinate with production, quality, and stores departments for smooth operations.

h) Lead and supervise the maintenance team while ensuring adherence to safety practices.

j) Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

k) Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 requirements.

Skills Required:

a) Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.

b) Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and utilities.

c) Basic knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, and industrial automation.

d) Good troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

e) Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and maintenance planning.

f) Good communication, leadership, and team management skills.
