Job Description:

We are seeking an innovative Senior iOS Developer to lead the development of our industry-leading energy workforce navigation app. You will play a key role in understanding the navigation domain and collaborate with us to craft new features that meet the evolving market demands. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record in iOS development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performance Optimization: Address performance issues to ensure the app runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve development roadblocks to maintain a seamless workflow.
• Proactive Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the app's performance and user experience.
• Modern Code Practices: Utilize best practices and the latest tools (such as Swift) to ensure the app is compatible with the newest iOS features.

• Design and Development Collaboration: Work closely with designers to transform concepts into efficient, user-friendly app features.

• Comprehensive Testing: Develop thorough test plans to ensure the app is of the highest quality and free of bugs.

Required Expertise:

• Swift and Objective-C: Demonstrated mastery in Swift and Objective-C.
• Data Management: Extensive experience with SQLite and Core Data, including optimization.
• GPS and Location Services: Proficient in integrating GPS and location services to enhance the user experience within the app (experience in building navigation features is a plus).
• Optional Skills: Familiarity with GraphQL and experience with subscription management in the App Store are advantageous.

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a focus on mobile development.

• Very good experience with Objective-C and iOS SDK
• Good working knowledge in Cocoa Touch
• Experience with memory management and caching mechanisms specific to mobile devices.
• Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics, and Core Text.
• Experience in Payment gateway integration in mobile apps.
• A portfolio of iOS in the app store is a plus.
• Git & Gerrit.
• UI & UX experience.
• Experience in Swift4 and above version of Swift.
• REST API association, Locations, and Map API.

Required Candidate profile

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in iOS app design and development
• Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and
  Core Text
• Experience in imaging/pdf manipulation sdk will be preferred.
• Working experience with PDFTron sdk
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging
  technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle

As an Android Developer, you will own the Android app and strive to deliver the best learning experience out there to our learners that upGrad is known for. You will be responsible for developing features, taking those features to production and maintaining the existing code. Innovative nature and pro-active involvement in the product is taken very seriously at upGrad, therefore, a major part of your role would involve thinking about new features and new ways to deliver quality learning experience to our learners

Skills/Experience

1. Minimum 6+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
2. Strong Java and object-oriented concepts.
3. Solid understanding of Android architectural patterns especially MVVM and their importance in scalable software development process.
4. Strong understanding of Android fundamentals.
5. Experience in Android UI creation.
6. Experience of Android Live Data, Kotlin and Constraint layout would be a huge plus point.
