Job Description-
We are looking for a React Native Lead interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.
Responsibilities
Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms. Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms. Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native. Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things. Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality. Transition existing React web apps to React Native.
Skills
Firm grasp of the JavaScript {{and TypeScript or ClojureScript}} language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax Knowledge of {{functional or object-oriented}} programming Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle {{Android Studio, IntelliJ}} Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage Experience with automated testing suites, like {{Jest or Mocha}}
What is the role?
We are looking for a hands-on Android Developer to join the mobile team for Empuls. The applicant must have Android software development skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, rock-solid apps. Android programming works closely with other app development and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java and Kotlin code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science and a minimum of 4 years of Software Development experience.

- Excellent coding skills in an object-oriented language such as Java and Kotlin.

Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of automotive applications
- Analysis of customer product requirements
- Review and investigate issues in code developed by peers
- Partner closely with customers and other Cerence teams to establish and maintain clear, concise communication through regular reporting, meeting participation, and follow-up
- Adopt underlying layers for Android Automotive to run on customer hardware
Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum years of work experience: 4+ years of industry experience
Required skills:
- 4 + years’ software development experience, preferably for automotive and in connection with user interface technologies
- Experience using modern development processes/tools and developing through the complete Software Development Life Cycle
- Experiences in programing and scripting languages (JAVA, Python, Typescript)
- Experience with using source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins
- Experience working in / Knowledge of Agile/Scrum framework
- Experience in Android development
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

Requirements
• Overall 5+ years of experience in Mobile Application development
• At least 2+ year of hands-on experience in developing Mobile applications with
React Native
• B.E/B.Tech in CS or equivalent streams from institute of repute (IITs, NITs, BITs,
IIITs or equivalent)
• Familiar with native build tools - XCode, Android studio, etc.
• Ability to write readable and maintainable JavaScript code
• Ability to build pixel-perfect user interfaces with smooth interactions
• Knowledge of Web technologies and concepts - HTML, CSS, REST APIs,
Caching, etc.
• Knowledge on Android and iOS fundamentals is a must
• Experience developing Android/iOS native applications using
Java/Kotlin/Swift/Objective C is a plus
• Mobile application development experience with Flutter/Ionic is a plus
Will be developing mobile and web applications using latest technology. Should be good in analysing requirements and translate into applications. Good in understanding application flows.
Tech Skills –
Mobile technology – Hybrid (Ionic / Cordova / capacitor / flutter), Native (Android / iOS) – Expert level – Should have completed 2-3 full sized complex projects with server component, use of cloud services, use of device native capabilities like camera, accelerometer etc.
HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Java script – Intermediate level - Good understanding of concepts and should be able to realize application screens based on the UI provided by designers.
MEAN (MongoDB, Express, Angular/React, Node.js) stack – Beginner level - Should have understanding of concepts, good with basics

- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related degree from an accredited college or university
- You have at least 5 years of experience in developing native mobile applications with Java and/or Kotlin (for Android) and Objective-C and/or Swift (iOS) while working within a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK as well as iOS SDK – app lifecycle, UI using XML layouts (Android) and constraints and dynamic sizing (iOS) as well as data management and caching
- Knowledge of build systems in Android using Gradle. Knowledge of cocoapods and other tools for iOS build systems
- Knowledge of change management systems such as Git
- Knowledge of Reactive programming
- You’re familiar with mobile product and design lifecycle, and collaborating closely with designers and product managers
- You have experience building and shipping mobile apps to a large user base.
