About the job
In this role, you'll play a key part in building our platform and guiding our company's technical direction. You'll work on both the front-end and back-end of our technology, collaborating with engineers, designers, and founders. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the rest of the team to design and implement our backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other engineers and designers to build a user-friendly and intuitive platform that meets our customers' needs.
- Help define and execute the technical roadmap for our platform, balancing technical debt and innovation to ensure we can deliver on our business goals.
- Inventing, extending, and maintaining development processes, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience as a Backend engineer, with a focus on building scalable and reliable web applications. Having managed teams is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Python with 5+ years of experience, and familiarity with at least one Python backend framework.
- Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS cost and billing is a plus.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework; React is preferred.
- Experience with NestJS is preferred
- Experience with IaC - either Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with LLMs is preferred.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with and enjoys creating prototypes and experimenting quickly.
- Experience working with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch.
