Here, the selected candidates will have to report to our senior software engineering team. Also, they have to collaborate efficiently with their colleagues while performing successful code migration.
On the other hand, they are also required to provide IT support to all our clients. An application support engineer can only become successful if they have extensive experience in providing application support. This essentially needs to be done in a fast-paced environment. Meanwhile, top-notch application support engineers can significantly distinguish between themselves. They can do this by simply being proactive in providing application support.
Application Support Responsibilities

- Perform analysis of the functionality of software applications and suggest significant improvements.
- Offer software application support under the supervision of the senior engineer
- Consult skillfully with the team of software development, clients, and internal users to improve application performance.
- Ensure very effective back-end and front-end functionality of all applications.
- Establishing the main causes of application errors while escalating serious concerns to the Senior engineer.
- Efficiently managing code migration across various environments only to ensure synchronized and continued functionality.
- Documenting processes proficiently and continuously monitoring the application performance metrics.
- Keep an updated record of configuration changes while scheduling the updates of applications.
- Provide extensive front-end support to all colleagues and clients of other departments.
- Efficiently manage coordination at both local and international levels, whenever and wherever required.
Application Support Requirements
Listed here are the job requirements of an application support engineer:
- Demonstrable experience as an application support engineer or any other related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, information technology, computer engineering, or anything similar.
- Must be capable of managing code migration, monitoring performance, and documenting all configuration changes.
- Enhanced knowledge of back-end and front-end programming languages. They include JavaScript, C++, Ruby, and Python.
- Have the ability to offer significant front-end support to all web-based clients and internal departments.
- Extensive knowledge of Advanced Encryption Standards or AES.
- Significantly advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and skillfully repairing them.
