iRage is looking for a low latency developer who has experience within HFT or low latency network systems. Required Skillset: ● Understands multi-threading and has decent level knowledge of multicore architectures. ● Technically proficient and hands on in C++ with good understanding of C++11 and C++14. ● Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP & Network topology. The Role Hardware design engineering requires and offers a very high level of collaboration with firmware and mechanical engineers. You’ll be responsible for hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting all control boards and electronics. Responsibilities Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing. Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers. Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination. Required Skills BS or higher degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (IIT/BITS/International preferred). 2 or more years of demonstrated successful experience in PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization. Familiarity with PCB design softwares (e.g., Altium, OrCAD) Experience in hardware engineering within a product design and mass manufacturing environment. Required Skills BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering (International Universities/IIT preferred). Should have a strong background in design and not simply having managed 3rd-party or other’s designs. 4 or more years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment. Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design. Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools. Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization. Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies). Experience in development of digital and analog interfaces for PC-based test systems, especially (Labview, Matlab, Python). Preferred Skills MSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience and exceptional ability Past work with high power Li-Ion batteries is a good to have. Embedded programming of DSPs and FPGAs in real-time control applications is highly valuable. Desired knowledge in automotive networking (e.g. CAN,) standards. Knowledge of power semiconductors and switched mode power conversion. Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications. Knowledge of basic control theory and experience with embedded programming.
