Senior Lead - UX Researcher

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Product Analyst to join our team.

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of Product and Impact. You will independently lead analytics in order to understand how users interact with the product, and you will work with the Product Manager to turn product insights into improvements in user experience.

The ideal candidate should have a natural curiosity to uncover insights from data, and a passion for transforming these insights into actionable strategies. A deep understanding of mobile application analytics is a must.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret product data to gain product insights and provide recommendations to the product team.
• Critically think about user experience in our product and how it can be measured
• Analyzing user journeys and cohorts to identify trends and behaviors
• Generating insights from product data to influence decision-making
• Performing customer segmentation to drive targeted marketing and product strategies
• Conduct A/B testing to assess the efficacy of product enhancements, providing data-driven recommendations for product development.
• Lead customer segmentation initiatives to drive targeted marketing and product strategies, enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction.

Key Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a product analytics role, preferably for a mobile application
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation (Pandas and NumPy)
• Experience in user journey tracking, segmentation, cohort analysis, A/B analysis
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio)
• Experience Google Analytics, Firebase, and other web and mobile app analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude (we use Posthog).

 Roles and responsibilities

• Work with founders, to understand business objectives and customer insights
• Work with product, engineering and customers to co-create the product with early customers
• Prepare wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to take ideas from inception to execution
• Build a design strategy, establish high-quality design processes, and create a culture of design within.
• Drive user research to identify problems and experiment with solutions; inform the product roadmap by advocating for user needs
• Strategize, develop, and extend the visual design systems and pattern libraries

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Self-driven individual with high ownership and a strong work ethic
• Ability to turn complex design problems into beautiful, intuitive solutions
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features
• Aesthetic appeal - you have an eye for beautiful designs/visuals
• Expertise in product thinking & user empathy; being able to identify the key user needs and connect them with effective solutions
• Excellent craft skills, such as visual storytelling, pixel-perfect UI design, and prototyping
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Comfortable running a full design process from beginning to end
• Ability to conduct user research studies

JOB ROLE:

In this role you will help craft the voice and tone of our design system. As our UX writer you’ll focus on content strategy, writing, basic typography and layout.

• Advocate for Extramarks and help shape product experience by crafting copy that helps users complete the task at hand.

Preferred Education

• 3-5 years of experience living and breathing UX, and have held positions as a UX or UI Writer.

• Bachelors/ Masters in Design, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant field.

• 4+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to deliver end-to-end design from concept to launch and iterate after user research.
• Track record in collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to design and launch new product features.
• Previous experience leading the designs at a product-based company coupled with hands-on design experience is a must-have.
• Comfortable using Figma and its features and a good understanding of design systems
• A portfolio with good design rationale and visual design skill
• Strong oral and written communication skills; extreme attention to detail
• Must have prior work-from-home experience and is comfortable in the remote working setup
• Must be time-flexible and willing to extend hours as needed
