You’ll be working alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our platform.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

 

• Work with our proprietary Java and Kotlin based SDK to find performance and functionality related issues.
• Working with in-house Dashboards to perform testing of UI and APIs.
• Collaborating with teams to create test documents.
• Planning and task management in congruence with the team.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

• Expertise on testing different QA Methodologies black box, white box and gray box for both web UIs and backends both manually and automation.
• Ability to code and maintain back-end automation frameworks written in distributed programming languages such as Python.
• Ability to automate Android applications using tools such as Appium.
• Hands-on experience on API testing and testing tools like Postman, Rest-Assured or other API testing tools.
• Experience working with Proxy tools like Charles Proxy, Fiddler.
• Excellent in test strategising, planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
• Working knowledge of Agile scrum methodologies
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.

This person MUST have:
- BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent.
- Experience testing IOT devices managed by cloud.
- Manual testing experience and a desire to learn and work with the latest
technologies. Web, Cloud and Mobile App testing.
- Develop test plans, cases, and scripts; schedule and execute test cycles;
contribute to testability & quality of software.
- Reports all defects accurately; facilitate problem tracking and successful
resolution; assess and communicate various risks involved and provide
necessary assistance to engineers and stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of automation know-how [ API automation, Python]
- Test to fail mindset, Solid test strategy experience, well versed with QA processes.
- Hands on experience on Performance test angle.

Mandatory Skill Requirements:

1. Strong Fundamentals on Manual Testing.
2. Some experience on API Automation Testing .
3. Basic understanding of any of the coding languages.(During the interview one coding question will be asked)
4. Basic understanding of SQL.(During the interview one SQL question will be asked)
5. Preferred Experience ( 2-6 yrs)

Requirements: 
-You have experience of testing a range of mobile applications and defining mobile testing strategies
-Proficient in end-to-end testing for both Android and iOS applications (React Native) 
-Experience in creating test automation flows(UI/API), preferably Mobile. 
-You have a good eye for performance, usability and pixel perfect displays 
-Has experience working in product teams, more specifically mobile and web consumer facing products
-Experience using CI/CD tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Requirements

• Knowledge of the quality assurance and testing concepts, methodologies, metrics, automated testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
• Should have knowledge/experience in creating Test Plans, Test scripts, Test cases.
• Collaborate well with others. Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand terms.
• Preferred knowledge/understanding of different mobile operating systems (Android, iOS)
• Preferred knowledge/experience testing both front-end (GUI)and back-end (database query) applications

Being a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and writing programs that run automated tests on new or existing software products – an essential part of the software development cycle. You will be required to use  automation frameworks (standardised guidelines) to build these programs on and write test scripts that do the testing. Different test automation developers specialise in particular automation tools, such as Selenium.

1. Plan, develop and execute tests/QA use cases against all the product releases using a variety of manual and automated test tools to ensure requirements have been met. 
2. Working closely with a team of test engineers to define Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Methodologies.
3. Work with the development team to ensure all requirements have been tested, defects have been identified and documented, impacts have been assessed, and resolutions provided. 
4. Create and maintain test documentation such as test plans and test reports.
5.  Interact with team members and other groups to troubleshoot and resolve quality defects and issues identified during the testing process and post-release of the product. 
6. Communicate product and process information to other members of the QA team, other departments as necessary. 
7.  Create Automation suites for existing test cases to reduce manual effort. 
8. Ability to find errors and communicate them timely.

Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. But there is no way to locate you otherwise. So we might look for at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science).

1.  Or else, you should be programming from 12. For us, the latter is better as it shows you have a programming mindset. We will find you faster if you specify the latter in some manner. :) 
2. Relevant years of experience in different types of testing that includes Functional testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, System testing, Installation & upgrade testing, and sanity/smoke testing, preferably in a similar industry. 
3. Familiarity and skill with the tools of the trade in core & Advance Java,web Automation Testing,Automation Framework implementation and understanding such Keyword, hybrid etc 
4. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. 
5. Strong written and verbal communications demonstrated through the creation of test plans, defect documentation, and summary presentations. 
6. Ability to leverage technology to advance the quality of products and efficiency of development and quality related processes. 
7. Should be able to work from scratch, creating a framework.
