Graphic Design Intern

Responsibilities: 

• Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials. 
• Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval. 
• Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software. 
• Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary. 

• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed. 
• Communicating with clients about layout and design. 
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop. 
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary. 

 

Requirements:  

• 2 - 4 years demonstrated experience being part of Creative Graphics Team. 
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field. 
• Experience as a graphic designer or in related field is preferred. 
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio. 

• Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator. 
• A strong eye for visual composition. 
• Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. 
• Experience with computer-aided design. 
• Strong visual design skills, ideally with experience designing iconography, illustration and creating motion graphics 

• Must have a portfolio featuring examples of design work. 
• Clean visual design sense and skills in typography and grids

Graphic and Video Designer

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Graphic Designer and Video Editor for our core marketing team. You will be responsible for designing the Video/Creative social media marketing campaigns for our next generation SaaS observability platform. 

Experience 

• 1-3 years of experience in designing graphic and video creatives for web and social media initiatives.
• Preferably a master’s or bachelor’s degree in Design and/or Video Editing.
• Design portfolio to showcase previous work is a must-have.
• Must have a strong hold on Visual Design basics, Elements of Design, Typography, Color Theory, Aesthetics and Composition.
• Must have a strong storytelling, video editing and motion graphics experience. Good sense of music beats is a must for video editing and syncing.
• Eager to step up to take ownership and keep things moving fast.
• Experience with agile processes and entrepreneurial attitude 
towards getting things done.
• Proficient with design tools like Moqups, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
• Proficient with non-linear video editing tools like After effects, Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro etc.
• Filmmaking, photography, painting/sketching experience is a plus.
• Experience with UI Design would be a plus.
• Aptitude to understand requirements and execute tasks independently.
• Ability to multitask and manage time to meet daily deadlines.

• Work with key stakeholders, marketers, product managers, engineers and customers themselves to understand end user persona, business requirements and deliver exceptionally designed Graphics and Video creatives.
• Partner with design and marketing teams to define the social media campaign strategy for the company. 
• Deliver high-quality outcomes including UIs, Marketing Graphic collateral and Video creatives.
• Work closely with the product marketing and growth teams on designing the company website, product newsletters, social media and other marketing collateral.

7-10 years of experience, including 3+ years of lead experience, preferably working for a startup. The Creative Lead leads the design process including initial requirements definition and conceptualization with the Business Analysis teams and the project managers. A designer contributes to the evolution and improvement of the existing design   process. The Creative Lead also collaborates with the internal teams to develop creative strategy.
