Position: BackEnd Developer

Responsibilities:

He / She will be a key contributor to design, develop and maintain System, Integration, Regression and E2E development

Develop unit and scenario based automated test cases for .NET class libraries using NUnit or MS Unit test Framework

Experienced in automated deployment tools such Continuous Integration is an advantage

Excellent debugging skills; able to debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components

Analyzing the requirements and map the test cases for the complete traceability.

About our Engineering Department

We build new features on top of a stack using YII2 framework, consisting of web apps communicating through APIs, backed by MySQL databases and currently using Cordova for our Android and iOS apps
We don’t follow rigid Scrum or Kanban, but we do work in an agile, iterative way – we deploy changes multiple times a week to production and try to continuously improve and implement what works for us.

Here are some things you’ll be doing in the role (but not limited to):

Writing code, code reviews, fixing bugs, optimising server response, etc.
Understanding the problems to be solved, and breaking these down into small, actionable tasks.

So, what are we specifically looking for?

About 1-4 years experience in PHP framework, including both successes and failures, which help you make better decisions.
Good working knowledge of PHP MVC Frameworks, MySQL & HTML/CSS.
Significant experience in working on major systems in one or more languages: ideally you’ve built REST API endpoints on top of data storage layers, and understand concepts like authentication, caching, web security, and the way that frontends consume APIs.

Roles and Responsibilities: ● Build a low latency serving layer that powers DataWeave's Dashboards, Reports, and Analytics functionality ● Build robust RESTful APIs that serve data and insights to DataWeave and other products ● Design user interaction workflows on our products and integrating them with data APIs ● Help stabilize and scale our existing systems. Have a good understanding of software design principles and architectural best practices. ● Be passionate about writing code and have experience coding in multiple languages, including at least one scripting language, preferably Python. ● Be able to argue convincingly why feature X of language Y rocks/sucks, or why a certain design decision is right/wrong, and so on. ● Be a self-starter—someone who thrives in fast paced environments with minimal ‘management’. ● Have experience working with multiple storage and indexing technologies such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elastic. ● Good knowledge (including internals) of messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. ● Use the command line like a pro.
