About the team & role :

Railways are the backbone of India. However, the passenger experience is broken across the board.

Starting with food, where the food served in pantries & platforms is not fit for human consumption,

Railofy is on a mission to create the largest & the most trustworthy brand in this space. Since launch

in Jan 2020, Railofy has scaled to become the leading online food brand in each of the stations that it

operates.

We are a VC-funded startup solving one of the biggest transportation problems India faces. Most passengers in India travel long distance by IRCTC trains. At time of booking, approx 1 out of every 2 passengers end up with a Waitlisted or RAC ticket. This creates a lot of anxiety for passengers, as Railway only announces only 4 hour before departure if they have a confirmed seat. We solve this problem through our Waitlist & RAC Protection. Protection can be bought against each IRCTC ticket

at time of booking. If train ticket is not confirmed, we fly the passenger to the destination. Our team consists of 3 Founders from IIT, IIM and ISB.

Functional Experience :

 Computer Science or IT Engineering background with solid understanding of basics of Data Structures and Algorithms

 2 years of relevant experience with Python coding

 1+ years of OOP’s Structural coding experience.

 Expertise in Python packages like pandas, numPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, Flask, streamlit

 Able to Implement security and data protection solutions

 Accommodating various data storage solutions

Soft Skills:

 Communication skills – effective and amicable communication between groups, developers,

testers, designers, and users

 Analytical skills – Good understanding of algorithms and logic that goes behind coding the

application

 Competence to write clear, optimized, necessary code

 Critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills

 Collaboration and team-orientation

 Task organization, time management

Functional Experience:

• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and solid understanding of Fonts and Encodings

• 4+ years of web development experience

• Expertise in Javascript and well versed with ES6 standards

• Deep understanding of DOM, accessibility standards, SEO and Analytics

• Experience with integrating secured backend APIs with flexible Frontend Components

• Expertise in developing Responsive Design which is compatible with most Browsers

• Experience working with ReactJs and solid understanding of component lifecycle.

• Experience Designing components and building prototypes using Figma is a plus

• Experience working with increasing scale, and it is a big plus if you have worked with product-based companies

• You love coding like a hobby and are up for a challenge!

Requirements

Location: Mumbai (WFH available)

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate user data & requirements in collaboration with product team
2. Build UX improvement hypotheses and create draft design ideas, mockups and prototypes
3. On-field surveys & testing with real / potential users and iterate the UX flow /design as per requirements
4. Build final designs and support PRD development
5. Coordinate with engineering team for development
6. Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX problems; analyze user data for improvements
7. Build & manage design library and global templates

Requirements:

1. 4+ years of experience in building B2C products 
2. Proven work experience as a UX / Interaction Designer
3. Knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, XD, Figma, Zeplin

About the role-

*Must be train smart* (Indian Railways)

As a Data Analyst, you will work with the database and data-science team in managing and updating the ever changing database related to trains, airports and buses etc.

You will also play a key role in monitoring the key KPIs.

Needless to say, you will be exposed to almost all the verticals of a tech startup and play a key role in solving real life problems.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience managing databases, MIS reporting or analytics (non-technical)
• Should be ‘ Train Smart ‘. Knowledge of Indian Railways and trains is required
• Hands-on with MS excel and google sheets
• Access to laptop & internet to work from home
• Willing to relocate to Mumbai
• Graduation (completed) from reputed school / college (any field)
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
