Customer / Tech Support Engineer JD

 

We are looking for a Customer Support Engineer/Tech Support Engineer who will be solving high-priority customer technical issues in a fast-paced environment. The support team is the foundation of everything the company does, and we take the role of supporting our merchants seriously. This is a highly cross-functional role; you'll work closely with company’s merchants to uncover their business goals and then coach them on the best ways to use the company website to achieve them. Your role would involve explaining technical concepts, providing support for overall systems testing and implementation into the production, and creating and improving documents that help customers solve their problems. If you are someone who enjoys solving merchants' technical problems, we want to hear from you.

• Participate in requirement, design discussions, and come up with solutions according to functional specifications
• Develop in-depth product expertise as a master Fulfil user and teacher
• Translate highly complex business requirements into technical solutions through efficient design and using appropriate tools and technologies
• Technical support and troubleshooting production issues and solution implementation
• Collaborating with the product team to share customer feedback, ensuring we continue to learn and improve our product and processes
• Identifying and resolving application issues, providing feedback for product improvements and overall direction

User Experience Designer / Engineer

Job Description

The company's product team develops the next-generation technologies that change how millions of customer orders are fulfilled by merchants.

As a UI/|UX engineer, you will ship high-fidelity designs of new features and prototype solutions. You will have incredible ownership in creating an elegant end-user experience for merchants across every aspect of the product while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technical product managers, customer success managers, and marketers.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping our product—from influencing the roadmap, doing in-depth user research, and weighing technical constraints and tradeoffs. You will work directly with the head of the product and management team in delivering a product experience that creates moments of delight for our merchants, and growth for the company.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Understand various types of users across our platform and representing our merchants in product strategy and roadmap discussions
• Create unified, end-to-end experiences through close collaboration with team members from customer success, across product and engineering teams
• Identify the best UX methods and tools to use depending on project constraints, and own every aspect of the product's design, from solving the core user challenge to shipping a well-tested and pixel-perfect UI
• Work on creating and contributing to a design system of patterns in an effort to cultivate a cohesive look, feel, and user experience across the entire Fulfil platform
• Manage every aspect of the design process for products, features, and functionalities in collaboration with our Product and Engineering teams
• Create sketches, detailed wireframes, user flows, and high fidelity mockups and effectively communicate them clearly to relevant teams
• Prototype user experiences and run usability tests to turn concepts into intuitive and elegant interfaces
• Enhance and apply our established visual language to new features and functionalities of existing products
• Quickly iterate and develop alternative designs based on feedback from peers or learnings found in user testing, within support channels, etc.

 

Requirements

 

We're Looking for Someone With:

• 5+ Years of UI/UX experience, working closely with Product and Engineering teams to develop and ship great end-user experiences
• Expertise in our tools: Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Clubhouse
• An outstanding portfolio, with presentable case studies showcasing a foundation in typography, interaction and visual design, and idea generation
• Experience collaborating with a diverse team in a rapid growth environment. - Huge plus if you’ve worked with remote teammates and understand the communication patterns of working with highly distributed teams (you’ll be working closely with our team in Toronto, Canada!)

As a Front End software engineer, you will work on the ReactJS & React Native (Mobile Experience) powered user interface used by Fulfil merchants to manage their back-office operations. This is mission critical software and your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) & React Native (Mobile Experience). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the rest of the team working on different layers of infrastructure in an international environment. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality are important.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with a small yet extraordinarily talented team of engineers to implement front-end technologies
• Develop new user-facing features using React.js & React Native (Mobile Experience)
• Work closely with the Design and Product teams to translate complex technical workflows into delightful user experiences
• Define how Fulfil builds user interfaces and ensure that we’re utilizing and keeping up with modern web standards

As a senior software engineer, you will work on our python based ORM and applications that scales to handle millions of transactions every hour. This is mission critical software and your primary focus will be building robust and scalable solutions that are easy to maintain.

In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the rest of the team working on different layers of infrastructure in an international environment. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product are important.

What You’ll Do:

• Own definition and implementation of API interfaces (REST and GraphQL). We take pride in our 100% open API with over 600 endpoints.
• Implement simple solutions to complex business logic that enables our merchants to manage financials, orders and shipments across millions of transactions.
• Build reusable components and packages for future use.
• Translate specs and user stories into reviewable, test covered patches.
• Peer review code and refactor existing code.
• Integrate with our eCommerce partners (Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon), shipping partners (UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL) and EDI.
• Manage Kubernetes and Docker based global deployment of our infrastructure.
