Rupeek is an asset backed online lending platform aiming to disrupt the traditional brick and mortar lending models. Our sites and services are critical to success of the institution. As a senior engineer at Rupeek, you will be building APIs, reviewing the work of other engineers, automating processes and solving business problems by writing efficient code. We believe in rapid iterations and prototyping, continuous deployment and writing code that is extensible, maintainable and scalable. We are a small team of problem solvers who work across different codebases / languages / tech stacks. Creating polished products and shipping high quality code, constantly improving/learning and contributing to the documentation & engineering culture of the company are some of the things expected of you. Responsibilities: Building APIs, writing test specs and documenting your work Help and mentor junior engineers Independently take ownership of different repositories Work with front-end developers to ship a polished product Improving the toolchain for deployments, monitoring and testing Identifying issues and implement solutions that are robust Production monitoring and performance tweaking as required Get exposed to and maintain core services in different languages Requirements: A passion to solve problems using technology 4+ years of experience shipping code across the stack Willingness to solve problems in any language / toolset Proficiency in Javascript Knowledge of Express framework, NPM and the NodeJS ecosystem Comfortable with Git, *nix command line and environment Good communication skills Experience working in a test driven development environment with continuous integration Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you Desired Skills: Knowledge of databases, MongoDB / Redis a plus Bash scripting Knowledge of CI / deployment systems, CircleCI a plus Special Preference: Passed out of an elite engineering institution Mix of startup and industry experience Hackathon / Competitive coding experience Prior experience in computer vision / ML Experience maintaining large & growing code bases Rupeek Tech Stack: You can stake a look at our tech stack here: http://stackshare.io/AmarPrabhu/rupeek
